This master thesis analyses a labour market at the region Most that has high unemployment rate. After the theoretical basis, the structural analysis of unemployment and its development thesis researches disequilibrium of the labour market both on the side of supply (active employment policy particularly retraining) and demand (the biggest employers in the area). The goal of the thesis is the cost analysis of the efficiency allocated resources into retraining programme particularly into its returns. It is illustrated on model situations and then on the average situation. According to the results it is appraised the truth of the hypothesis that active employment policy is advantageous for state and employers than passive employment policy in the long period. Thesis uses statistic models, comparison, situation analysis and questionnaire.

The aim of this thesis is to characterize the evolution of women´s employment and unemployment in the labor market in South region of Czech Republic and find out what are the conditions for the women´s admission to occupation, particularly after maternity leave. For this purpose I examined the necessary information from the Czech Statistical Office and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Then I prepared the questionnaire concerning the issue. My aim was to explore the labor market situation and verify that it is very difficult to manage currently maternal responsibilities and job.

Research on immigration in the United States has commonly studied the employment experiences of refugees. Few studies on refugees have focused on both, refugees' employment and unemployment experiences in the United States. This article draws on twenty in-depth interviews with refugees, along with ethnographic observation at a local refugee resettlement agency, to investigate how refugees make sense of their employment and unemployment experiences in the United States. I find that refugee men and women experience different employment trajectories in the United States, which are shaped by gender inequality in the public and domestic spheres. I further find that refugees' navigation with work in the United Stated influences their unemployment experiences and work in the informal sector. My study extends previous literature on refugee incorporation by conceptualizing refugees' employment as a gendered process, which includes periods of formal paid work, informal paid work, and unemployment in the United States.

This Master's thesis deals with the analysis of unemployment in the Moravian-Silesian region from various perspectives, such as age structure, educational structure, length of unemployment, there is also a comparison with other regions of the Czech Republic and analysis of labor supply and demand in the region. Emphasis was also placed on an active employment policy in the region that plays a key role. It was also important to Compaq Czech republic with other European countries and emphasizes the utilization of European funds on active employment policy. Due to the fact that region has strong industrial focus is also prepared an analysis of OKD company, as a major employer, its impact on employment in the region and the potential impacts of the layoffs. The aim of the study was to determine the direction in which the region should follow, where the hidden opportunities are for job seekers, in what position is in comparison with other regions and the influence of the company OKD company the region.

This master´s thesis deals with the problem of unemployment in the district of Prostějov. It contains the structure of unemployed people according to sex, age, education and length of unemployment. This thesis contains suggestions of suitable measures which should lead to reduction of unemployment.

The concern of this thesis is analysis of labour market and several suggestions for reduction rate of unemployment in Jihlava district (Czech Republic) through the instruments of active employment policy used by local branch of Labour office.

This thesis is focused on unemployment in the district of Blansko. The theoretical part deals with to description of theoretical knowledge related to labour market, unemployment and state employment policy. The analytic part focuses on the statistical and graphical description of data concerning the current state of unemployment. The last part is devoted to proposals of solutions that could lead to a reduction in unemployment in this district.

The thesis deals with the unemployment of young people in two selected EU countries, namely the Czech Republic and Spain. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the position of the young generation in the labor market in the selected EU countries and their comparison. The partial objective is to evaluate the currently used tools of active employment policy, identify barriers to implementation and propose possible solutions to unemployment of this target group in selected countries. The analysis focuses not only on the overall unemployment rate of the monitored age category, but also on the development of the number of unemployed by type of education and sex. Last but not least, information is also provided in relation to the unemployment rate in individual NUTS 2 cohesion regions in the above countries. The reference period is between 2007 and 2017.
