Natal, premi?re institution du type dans l'?tat du Rio Grande do Norte. Il analyse la pratique p?dagogique, le mod?le d'?ducation primaire et d'exp?rimentation des personnes en formation de l'?cole Normale de Natal, entre 1908 et l'ann?e de 1928. Dans cette p?riode, se sont produites des tentatives d'organisation scolaire par le biais de la R?forme de l‟Enseignement Primaire (1908) et de la R?forme de l‟Enseignement (1916). Nous nous sommes bas?s sur l'Histoire Culturelle d?finie ? travers la conjonction de l'histoire des objets dans sa mat?rialit?, des pratiques dans leurs diff?rences et configurations, des dispositifs dans leurs variations. Nous avons utilis? les journaux A Rep?blica et Di?rio do Natal, la revue Pedagogium, des Lois, des D?crets et Messages du Gouvernement, des Codes d'Enseignement et le R?gime Interne des Groupes Scolaires, documents qui proviennent du fonds de l'Institut Historique et G?ographique do Rio Grande do Norte (IHGRN) et des sources iconographiques, provenant de l'Institut du Patrimoine Historique et Artistique National (IPHAN/RN). Dans les Archives Publiques de l‟Etat (APE/RN) nous avons recherch? les Livres d'Enregistrement des Groupes Scolaires et ?coles Isol?es, Offices, Inscriptions, Rapports et Actes de r?unions de la Direction G?n?rale de l'Instruction Publique et Journal de Classe. Nous avons analys? l'action des professeurs dans cette institution primaire, ainsi que l'histoire des disciplines scolaires et des programmes d'enseignement, la probl?matique des contenus et m?thodes. Nous avons observ? que la m?thode intuitive ?tait la dynamique de la pratique p?dagogique efficace et que les rites de r?compense, les c?r?monies civiques composaient l‟ensemble des id?es modernisatrices de l‟?poque / Este trabalho tem por objeto de estudo o Grupo Escolar Augusto Severo, em Natal, primeira institui??o do g?nero no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Analisa a pr?tica pedag?gica, modelo de educa??o prim?ria e de experimenta??o dos formandos da Escola Normal de Natal, entre 1908 e 1928. Neste per?odo ocorreram tentativas de organiza??o educacional por meio da Reforma do Ensino Prim?rio (1908) e da Reforma do Ensino (1916). Fundamentamo-nos na Hist?ria Cultural definida atrav?s da conjun??o da hist?ria dos objetos na sua materialidade, das pr?ticas nas suas diferen?as e das configura??es, dos dispositivos nas suas varia??es. Buscou-se compreender a identifica??o da configura??o da organiza??o escolar prim?ria provincial maranhense na ?ltima d?cada imperial para analisar as rupturas e continuidades inferidas com o novo regime pol?tico, tornando evidente a din?mica das estrat?gias, processos e dispositivos escolares que constitu?ram a forma escolar prim?ria republicana no Estado do Maranh?o. Com dados coletados em fontes documentais, iconogr?ficas e bibliogr?ficas, as fontes impressas utilizadas foram documentos de tramita??o legislativa, Regulamentos e Regimentos Escolares, jornais e revistas em circula??o no Maranh?o durante o per?odo em estudo, registro escrito de Confer?ncias P?blicas, livros did?ticos escritos por professores normalistas, os anais do I Congresso Pedag?gico do Maranh?o e resultados de pesquisas acad?micas sobre a hist?ria da educa??o maranhense na Primeira Rep?blica. Identificou-se detalhes da rela??o pedag?gica na escola prim?ria de infantes maranhenses, registradas sob a forma de mem?ria escrita, importantes para identificar os elementos constitutivos da forma escolar prim?ria. Os resultados das an?lises sobre a forma escolar prim?ria republicana no Estado do Maranh?o no per?odo investigado apontaram que esta constituiu-se sob uma din?mica que requeria altera??es nas rela??es sociais de indiv?duos e grupos das massas populares para organiza??o da sociedade maranhense em cadeias de interdepend?ncias, sob a forma de unidade federativa. Neste contexto, a forma da escola p?blica prim?ria maranhense foi configurada com dispositivos de escolaridade que promoviam ? sistematicamente e simultaneamente, mas em graus distintos dependendo das condi??es socioecon?micas da localidade onde a escola prim?ria estava inserida - a desincorpora??o, desvinculamento e o deslocamento dos usos, costumes e saberes nativos para um saber cultural padronizado, mas imanentes aos sujeitos constitu?dos e ?s situa??es que os produziram, (re)formando o cidad?o maranhense com saberes reincorporados para um destino social espec?fico: as pris?es psicossociais do iletrismo. / This study analyzed the shape of Maranh?o primary school and its components during the period from 1889 to 1912. We tried to understand configuration identification of the provincial primary school organization in Maranh?o last imperial decade to analyze the ruptures and continuities inferred with the new regime political, pointing to the dynamics of the strategies, processes and school devices that formed the Republican primary school form in the state of Maranh?o. With data collected from documental, iconographic and bibliographic sources, printed sources used were documents the legislative process, Regulations and Regiments School, newspapers and magazines in circulation in Maranh?o during the period under study, written record of Public Conferences, textbooks written by teachers normalistas, the annals of Pedagogical I do Maranh?o Congress and results of academic research on the history of Maranh?o education in the First Republic. It was identified pedagogical relationship details in elementary school Maranh?o infants, registered in the form of written memory, important to identify the components of the primary school form. The results of the analysis of Republican primary school form in the State of the investigated period indicated that this consisted in a dynamic requiring changes in social relations of individuals and groups of the masses for the organization of society in Maranh?o interdependencies chains under the form of federal unit. In this context, the shape of Maranh?o public elementary school was set up with educational devices that promoted - systematically and simultaneously but in different degrees depending on the socio-economic conditions of the location where the primary school was inserted - the demerger, disassociation and the displacement of uses, native customs and knowledge to a standardized cultural knowledge, but immanent to become subjects and situations that produced them, (re) forming the Maranh?o citizen with knowledge reintroduced for a specific social destination: the psychosocial illiteracy prisons.

The collection of empirical data was carried through, over all, in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul's Memorial and in the Map Collection of the Direction of Public Works/RS; it was carried a qualitative analysis of the reports from the Direction of Public Works/RS, Direction of Public Instruction/RS and of the pictorial files. It proposes to discuss the following question: which relations were established between the first primary school buildings, constructed by the Rio Grande do Sul Government in the first decades of the 20th century, and the historical, educational state patrimony? It carries through a cartography of the first projects, plants and photographs of the school buildings constructed by the state government, analyzing aspects of its trajectories, identifying the changes and the continuities, from a material and symbolic point of view. The temporal scope was established in accordance with the years of construction/completion of the first and the last primary school identified in this research. Therefore, the year of 1907 marks the beginning of the construction of Aula Isolada Campos da Reden??o, located in the city of Porto Alegre. The date of 1928 corresponds to the completion of the elementary schools in the State, one located in the city of Passo Fundo and the other in Cruz Alta, which were constructed on the basis of the same project. During this interval (1907-1928), the study identified 18 school buildings, among reforms, adaptations and constructions carried through by the state government, which enabled a division in two great groups: adapted buildings and constructions. Of the 9 buildings that were constructed, the majority is located in the capital and/or urban zones of different cities. When analyzing the trajectory of these establishments, it was observed that great part of them follow their activities as education institutions, facing serious structural problems and a significant crisis related to its history, memory and valuation as historical and educational patrimonies. It was identified that none of these constructions is protected by the Institute of the Historic and Artistic Patrimony of the State, and it was not found any projects linked to the Secretary of Education or the Historic Patrimony sector of the Direction of Public Works with the purpose of preservation of the buildings and school collections. It was evidenced that the first buildings destined to public primary schools survive a structural, historical and memorialist crisis, as well as the indifference of the responsible agencies for its maintenance and preservation. Thus, this thesis proposes interlocution between the school architecture and the historical educational patrimony, involving the school community, the distinct institutions and public spheres and the university researchers. / A presente pesquisa de tese insere-se no campo da hist?ria da educa??o, na perspectiva te?rica da hist?ria cultural e da cultura escolar, onde procura analisar os primeiros edif?cios destinados para a escola prim?ria p?blica no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, durante a Primeira Rep?blica Brasileira (1889-1930), relacionando-os com o patrim?nio hist?rico-educativo rio-grandense. A coleta de dados emp?ricos foi realizada, sobretudo, no Memorial da Assembleia Legislativa do Rio Grande do Sul e na Mapoteca da Diretoria de Obras P?blicas/RS, valendo-se da an?lise qualitativa dos Relat?rios da Diretoria de Instru??o P?bica/RS, da Diretoria de Obras P?blicas/RS e dos registros imag?ticos. Prop?e discutir quais s?o as rela??es estabelecidas entre os primeiros pr?dios para a escola prim?ria, constru?dos pelo Governo do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, nas primeiras d?cadas do s?culo XX, com patrim?nio hist?rico-educativo rio-grandense? Realiza uma cartografia os primeiros projetos, plantas e fotografias dos pr?dios escolares constru?dos pelo Governo do Estado, analisando aspectos de suas trajet?rias, identificando as mudan?as e as perman?ncias, desde o ponto de vista material e simb?lico. O recorte temporal foi estabelecido de acordo com os anos de constru??o/finaliza??o da primeira e da ?ltima escola prim?ria identificada nesta pesquisa. Sendo assim, o ano de 1907 marca o in?cio da constru??o da Aula Isolada Campos da Reden??o, localizada na cidade de Porto Alegre. A data de 1928 corresponde ? finaliza??o de dois col?gios elementares no Estado, um localizado no munic?pio de Passo Fundo e, o outro, de Cruz Alta, constru?dos com base em um mesmo projeto. Durante este intervalo (1907-1928), o estudo identificou 18 edif?cios escolares, entre reformas, adapta??es e constru??es realizadas pelo governo do Estado, o que possibilitou a divis?o em dois grandes grupos, sendo um deles de edif?cios adaptados e, outro, de constru??es. Dos 9 pr?dios que foram erguidos, a maioria est? localizada na capital e/ou em zonas urbanas de diferentes cidades. Ao analisar a trajet?ria destes estabelecimentos observamos que grande parte segue suas atividades como institui??o de ensino, enfrentando s?rios problemas estruturais e uma significativa crise relacionada ? sua hist?ria, mem?ria e valoriza??o enquanto patrim?nio hist?rico-educativo. Identificamos que nenhuma destas edifica??es est? tombada pelo Instituto do Patrim?nio Hist?rico e Art?stico do Estado, assim como n?o localizamos projetos vinculados ? Secretaria da Educa??o ou do setor de Patrim?nio Hist?rico da Diretoria de obras P?blicas que tenham a finalidade de preserva??o dos edif?cios e acervos escolares. Constatamos que os primeiros edif?cios para a escola prim?ria p?blica sobrevivem a uma crise estrutural, hist?rica e memorialista, assim como ao descaso dos ?rg?os respons?veis pela sua manuten??o e preserva??o. Desse modo propomos interlocu??es entre a arquitetura escolar e o patrim?nio hist?rico-educativo envolvendo a comunidade escolar, as distintas institui??es e esferas p?blicas e pesquisadores, sobretudo, universit?rios.
