Para a realização da pesquisa, foram utilizados como corpus principal do trabalho as seguintes obras: Manual de Pintura e Caligrafia, (1977) e o Ano da morte de Ricardo Reis (1984), ambas do escritor português contemporâneo José Saramago. A reflexão sobre a discussão ensaística ficcionalizada no romance desenvolve-se da seguinte forma: primeiramente, busca-se apurar a existência embrionária da discussão ensaística na trajetória romanesca de José Saramago, ressaltando as influências de Montaigne em sua obra. Posteriormente, um segundo momento é destinado ao conhecimento e sistematização da teoria sobre o gênero ensaio, abordando-se os principais teóricos sobre o assunto, buscando referência sobre o ensaio desde Michel de Montaigne. Por fim, para dar prosseguimento à pesquisa, foi necessário abordar os dois romances que fazem parte do corpus do trabalho, procurando demonstrar como se dá o ensaio crítico ficcionalizado em cada um deles, enfatizando como se dá a discussão sobre o fazer literário e o fazer artístico por meio da metalinguagem, intertextualidade, chegando a um ensaio crítico construído por meio da narrativa de ficção / This work aims at studying the novel genre, analyzing it from the perspective of essay genre, in other words, novel seen as a space that enables the development of essay genre, following narrative and fiction view. In order to do this research, it was used as the work main corpus the following works: Manual of Painting and Calligraphy (1977) and The year of Ricardo Reis‟death (1984), both written by the contemporary Portuguese writer José Saramago. The reflection about the discussion essay fictionalized in the novel develops itself in the following way: at first, it is tried to investigate the embryonic existence of the essay discussion in José Saramago‟s novelistic trajectory, highlighting Montaigne‟s influences in his work. At a later time, a second moment is dedicated to knowledge and systematization of theory about essay genre, approaching the main researchers about the subject, searching for references about the essay since Michael de Montaigne. At last, to continue the research, it was necessary to approach these two novels that make part of the work corpus, trying to demonstrate how the critical essay fictionalized in each one of them occurs, emphasizing how occurs the discussion about the literary making and the artistic making by the means of metalanguage, intertextuality, getting to a critical essay written by the means of narrative fiction

Orientador: José Antonio Matthiesen / Banca: Renato Bertolino Júnior / Banca: Carlito Calil Júnior / Resumo: No Brasil, é comum o uso de estruturas treliçadas de madeira na construção de coberturas nas edificações e, que, na maioria das vezes, são feitas de forma artesanal ou empírica. Para que haja uma otimização na produção dessas estruturas, através da industrialização, é conveniente o conhecimento e o domínio dos sistemas construtivos disponíveis. A utilização dos conectores metálicos, de chapa com dentes estampados (CDE) nas ligações dos elementos estruturais das treliças, é considerada, pela literatura, uma boa opção de sistema construtivo em escala industrial. Neste trabalho foram determinadas a resistência e a rigidez das ligações por conector CDE, em peças estruturais de madeira, para as classes de resistência: C20; C30 e C40, através dos modos básicos de ruptura das peças ligadas, que são: arrancamento dos dentes na peça de madeira; cisalhamento e tração da chapa. Também foi verificada a influência da variação na umidade das peças de madeira, ao serem prensadas pelo conector CDE, na resistência e rigidez da ligação, visando com isso, contribuir com a Revisão da Norma Brasileira (NBR-7190/97). / Abstract: The usage of wood trusses is common in the construction of roofs in Brazil, the most of the times are built in way craft or empiric. Obtaining an optimization in the production of these structures, through the industrialization, it is convenient the knowledge and the domain of the available constructive systems. The usage of the metallic connectors, as the metal connectors plates (MCP) in the connections of the structural elements of the truss is considered, for the literature, a nice option of constructive system in industrial scale. In this work, the resistance and the rigidity of the connections for connector MCP, in structural pieces of wood, for the resistance classes C20; C30 and C40, were certained through the basic manners of rupture of the linked pieces are: pull-out of the teeth in the wood piece; cut and traction of the connector. The influence of the variation in the humidity of the wood pieces as they are pressed by the connector MCP, in the resistance and the rigidity of the connections was verified as well, seeking with that, to contribute with Brazilian Code (NBR-7190/97) Revision. / Mestre

Pretende, portanto, estudar suas dimensões textuais e discursivas, detectando recorrências a partir das características típicas desse discurso para, então, indexarmo-las em um gênero textual. Em outros termos, esta pesquisa pretende caracterizar a dissertação escolar como uma das práticas efetivas de linguagem na escola e, por conseguinte, legitimá-la como um gênero discursivo. O tratamento das práticas de produção do texto dissertativo a partir da perspectiva do gênero elimina a artificialidade, até então peculiar a essa prática, e leva o aluno ao seu domínio, já que o gênero é objeto concreto de ensinoaprendizagem por estar diretamente relacionado com uma situação de comunicação autêntica. Como esta pesquisa qualifica o texto dissertativo escolar como a materialização de um gênero específico da esfera de comunicação escolar, pretende, ainda, servir como um ponto de partida e instrumento para proporcionar aos professores de língua portuguesa a elaboração de propostas metodológicas para o ensino da dissertação escolar como um gênero. Dessa forma, tais propostas visam a propiciar efetivamente a flutuação do gênero dissertativo escolar que existe na escola, hoje, para aquele gênero dissertativo escolar aceito e reconhecido socialmente, conforme as habilidades e competências previstas para o ensino Médio, as quais são definidas pelos teóricos e disseminadas nos documentos oficiais da Instituição Escola. / Abstract: This research has as objective to investigate the textualization of written argumentative essays of students who have finished Secondary School Education and have just started Higher Education. Thus, it intends to study such written compositions in their textual and discursive dimensions, observing recurrences of some typical characteristics of this discourse so that it can be possible to index them in a textual genre. In other words, this research intends to characterize the argumentative school essay as one of the effective language practices at school and, accordingly, define them as a discourse genre. The treatment of the text production practices from the genre perspective eliminates the artificiality, peculiar to this practice, and leads the student to its mastery, since the genre is a concrete object of the teaching and learning process and is directly related to an authentic communicative situation. As this study qualifies the school argumentative essay as the materialization of a specific genre of the school communication sphere, it still intends to work as a starting-point and an instrument to provide to teachers of Portuguese the creation of methodological proposals to the teaching of the school essay as a genre. So, such proposals aim to provide effectively the fluctuation from a non-standard school genre that exists at school nowadays to a standard school genre that is socially accepted and recognized according to the abilities and competences established to the Secondary School Education, defined by the theoreticians and spread by the official documents to the School Institution. / Doutor
