The objective was to study the dynamics of Multitemporal Space in that estuary, however, analyze how this environment has behaved during the years 1988, 1994 and 2006. The definition of that, there was the fact that during that period, which occurred in that area and more intensive space exploration to practice economic activities as well as a greater and more rapid expansion of urban area. This study was supported by the Remote Sensing, who have been shown today, as an efficient analysis of the environmental studies, through geoprocessing techniques. From the performed analysis it was found that occurred during the period of study (1988 to 2006), a huge change in the design of the estuary of Potengi river. The figures showed the area of vegetation was decreased 65.22%, the deforested area increased by 70.44% and the shrimp activity grow 452.07% and the urban area was increased in 52.65% along that period described. Considering the numbers shown there that the process of occupying space in that area requires attention, because it is an environment that represents a huge contribution to the ecological balance. / O presente trabalho foi desenvolvido no estu?rio do rio Potengi, litoral setentrional do munic?pio de Natal, localizado no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Teve como objetivo o Estudo Multitemporal da Din?mica Espacial no referido estu?rio, isto ?, analisar como este ambiente se comportou durante o per?odo de 1988, 1994 e 2006. A defini??o, deste, deu-se pelo fato de que foi nesse per?odo, que ocorreu, na referida ?rea, e de forma mais intensiva, a explora??o do espa?o para a pr?tica de atividades econ?micas, bem como, uma maior e mais acelerada expans?o da ?rea urbana. O estudo teve como suporte o Sensoriamento Remoto por ter se mostrado, nos dias atuais, como uma forma eficiente na analise dos estudos ambientais, atrav?s das t?cnicas de geoprocessamento. A partir da analise realizada verificou-se que ocorreu durante o per?odo em estudo (1988 a 2006), uma enorme mudan?a na configura??o espacial no estu?rio do Potengi. Os n?meros mostraram que a ?rea de vegeta??o ocorreu uma perda de 65,22 % da cobertura vegetal, a ?rea desmatada teve um aumento de 70,44 %, assim como a carcinicultura com 452,07 % e a ?rea urbana 52,65 %. Diante dos n?meros mostrados verifica-se que o processo de ocupa??o do espa?o na referida ?rea requer aten??o, por se tratar de um ambiente que representa uma enorme contribui??o para o equil?brio ecol?gico, multitemporal, din?mica espacial.
