Para o desenvolvimento da parte teórica, foi construída uma cronologia que apresenta um panorama dos principais acontecimentos na Europa e na América à época da concepção do sistema métrico decimal para que, com isso a explicação sobre a reforma do sistema métrico decimal na França, em Portugal e no Brasil seja mais bem compreendida. Para o desenvolvimento da parte empírica, fez-se uso da pesquisa qualitativa de caráter etnográfico, onde as técnicas utilizadas compreenderam a observação participante e entrevistas não-estruturadas, tendo como instrumento de coleta de dados o diário de campo. A análise teve como referencial teórico principal publicações na área do Programa de Pesquisa em Etnomatemática. / Abstract: The present dissertation is concerned with the theme which refers to the use of non-official measurements in everyday life of people who work and live in the rural area of Talhado (SP). In order to develop the theoretical part, a chronology which presents an overview of the main facts occurred in Europe and America at the time when the decimal metric system was formed. By doing so, the explanation about the reforms on the decimal metric system becomes clearer and easier to understand. For the development of the empirical part made use of an ethnographic qualitative research and the techniques embodied in such methodology were the participatory observation, non-structured interviews and a diary for registering the main parts of the obtained information. Orientador: Pedro Paulo Scandiuzzi / Banca: Maria Teresa Eglér Mantoan / Banca: Rosana Giaretta Sguerra Miskulin / Resumo: O trabalho intitulado "A Etnomatemática no contexto do ensino inclusivo: possibilidades e desafios" é uma pesquisa, de caráter etnográfico, que tem como objetivo observar, descrever e analisar como os professores de uma escola inclusiva lidam com os alunos, na disciplina Matemática, de modo a corroborar com o processo de inclusão. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola do projeto CIEJA - Centro Integrado de Educação de Jovens e Adultos - da Secretaria de Educação da cidade de São Paulo, que oferece o ensino fundamental na modalidade supletivo para 1308 alunos. Foram observados quatro professores, sendo três formados em matemática e um formado em pedagogia. O trabalho aponta que o processo de inclusão, baseado na perspectiva etnomatemática, está ligado à postura ética em que se preza o respeito, a solidariedade e a cooperação, ambiente onde as diferenças são valorizadas e, portanto, propício à inclusão. Salienta também que, para o processo de inclusão, não há um modelo pronto; o que existe é a transição da integração para a inclusão e, por isso, podem ser detectadas práticas não inclusivas mesmo em um ambiente com proposta inclusiva. / Abstract: The work entitled "Ethnomathematics in the teaching context for inclusion: possibility and challenge" is an investigation of ethnographic type that has the purpose to observe, describe and analyse how the teachers of an inclusive school deal with the students in the mathematics subject so as to corroborate with the process of inclusion. The research was accomplished in a school of the project CIEJA - Integrated Center of Youngs and Adults Education - of Education Secretaryship of São Paulo's city, that offer adult education fundamental teaching for 1308 students. Four teachers were observed, of which three are graduated in mathematics and one is graduated in pedagogy. The work indicates that the process of inclusion, grounded in the ethnomathematics perspective, is linked with the ethical posture that values the respect, solidarity and co-operation, environment where the differences are valorized and, thus, propitious for the inclusion. It emphasizes too that the process of inclusion isn't a ready model, on the contrary what exists is the transition from the integration to the inclusion and, therefore, it can be detect non-inclusive practices even so in this environment with inclusive proposal. / Mestre

Orientador: Renata Cristina Geromel Meneghetti / Banca: Alexandrina Monteiro / Banca: Ivete Maria Baraldi / Resumo: O presente trabalho teve como propósito identificar, num primeiro momento, os saberes matemáticos presentes em um empreendimento em Economia Solidária e as dificuldades encontradas pelas integrantes deste no trato com o conhecimento matemático. Num segundo momento, buscou-se traçar ações pedagógicas visando sanar algumas dessas dificuldades, na direção de favorecer a autogestão (em matemática) do grupo. O enfoque teórico fundamenta-se nos princípios da Etnomatemática e Economia Solidária, trazendo também discussões sobre Tecnologia Social e autogestão. Os sujeitos da pesquisa são três senhoras que constituem o empreendimento aqui denominado Grupo de fabricação de sabão caseiro, o qual é composto por moradoras de um bairro proveniente de desfavelamento, donas de casa e que apresentam dificuldades em deixar o trabalho doméstico para se dedicar a outra profissão, mas precisam garantir renda para manutenção de suas famílias. A metodologia empregada tem caráter qualitativo e caracteriza-se como pesquisa-ação e; a coleta de dados ocorreu por meio de observação participante e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Após a análise dos dados obtidos possou-se à atuação pedagógica em Matemática buscando a autogestão dos sujeitos de pesquisa. As análises indicaram que os saberes matemáticos, pautados principalmente no trabalho colaborativo e cooperação entre as sócias, e que já diversas dificuldades enfrentadas; apontando para a necessidade de uma melhor compreensão de alguns conhecimentos matemáticos cotidianos, os quais foram parcialmente possibilitados através deste estudo / Abstract: The present study aimed to initially identify the mathematical knowledge present in an enterprise in Solidary Economy and the dificulties encountered by members of treat dealing with mathematical knowledge. At a second moment, we sought to draw pedagogical actions aimed at remedying some of these difficulties, in the direction of promoting self-management (in mathematics) by the group. The theoretical approach is based on the principles of Ethnomathematics and Solidarity Economy, brinding discussions about technology and social management. The subjects of the research are three ladies constituing the enterprise which are here called the venture group making homemade soap, which is composed of residents of a neighborhood from a dissolved Shantytown, housewives and who have difficulties to abandon the housework to devote themselves to another profession, but they need to guarantee income to maintain their families. The applied methodology is qualitative and is characterized as action research; and the data were collected through participant observation and semistructured interviews. After analyzing the data were passed to its role in mathematics teaching self-management seeking research subjects. The analyzes indicated the mathematical knowledges, which are primarily based on collaborative work and cooperation among members, and there are some difficulties faced, pointing to the necessity for a better understanding of some mathematical skills used in everyday life, which became partly possible through this study / Mestre

Para isso, foram selecionados e entrevistados cinco autores significativos para a linha de pesquisa, a dizer, Bill Barton, Eduardo Sebastiani, Gelsa Knijnik, Paulus Gerdes e Ubiratan D'Ambrosio. As entrevistas foram interpretadas hermeneuticamente e analisadas segundo uma postura fenomenológica. Por meio de reduções sucessivas, foram articuladas, em um primeiro movimento, categorias que falam dos modos pelos quais os autores abordados concebem e pesquisam em etnomatemática. Em um segundo momento, foram articuladas categorias abrangentes que dizem da estrutura do fenômeno, nomeadas de "A dimensão teórica da etnomatemática" e "A prática da pesquisa em etnomatemática". Esta pesquisa explicita as correntes de etnomatemática trabalhadas pelos sujeitos estudados, no que diz respeito às suas aproximações, divergências e complementaridades, bem como o panorama da etnomatemática, entendido em sua complexidade. Algumas temáticas que se mostraram fortes neste estudo foram a concepção de matemática na etnomatemática; relação entre matemática e linguagem; a formação e constituição do pesquisador em etnomatemática; a dimensão ética e metodológica da etnomatemática, potencialidades da etnomatemática como campo de pesquisa; modos como se dá a abertura ao outro; a concepção de cultura envolvida nos estudos; possibilidades etnográficas etc. Além disso, foi levantata uma série de solicitações de pesquisa neste campo de ordem epistemológica, filosófica e metodológica / Abstract: This research has aimed to investigate ways in which ethnomathematics shows itself in its inquiring region. For that, five meaningful authors for the area were selected, and then, interviewed. The selected authors were Bill Barton, Eduardo Sebastiani, Gelsa Knijnik, Paulus Gerdes e Ubiratan D'Ambrosio, and their interviews were hermeneutically interpreted and analyzed under a phenomenological perspective. By using successive reductions, we articulated, in a first movement, categories that talk about ways in which the authors worked in this research conceive and research within ethnomathematics. In a second movement, we articulated broad categories that talk about the structure of the phenomenon, named as "The theoretical dimension of ethnomathematics" and "The research practice within ethnomathematics". This research sheds light to ethnomathematics streams, pointing out their approaches, divergences, complementarities etc., as well as to an outlook of ethnomathematics itself, understood in its complexity. Some themes have been highlighted in this study, such as the conception of mathematics within ethnomathematics; relation between mathematics and language; the ethnomathematics researcher education; the ethical and methodological dimension of ethnomathematics; potentialities of ethnomathematics as research area; ways in which the opening to the other happens; the conception of culture involved in ethnomathematical studies; ethnographic possibilities; and so on. O trabalho de campo consistiu, fundamentalmente, de observações participantes. Como referenciais teóricos, pautamo-nos em Rudolf Steiner para compreender a Pedagogia Waldorf, em Ubiratan D'Ambrosio para entender as formas de geração, organização e difusão de conhecimento, em Michel de Certeau, Doreen Massey, Martin Heidegger e Tiago Adão Lara para pensar sobre o espaço. Na escola investigada, o currículo é trabalhado em épocas que promovem um estudo intensificado do conteúdo, podendo-se utilizar da inter, multi e transdisciplinaridade. A arte e o movimento são elementos que estão presentes em todos os espaços escolares e permitem que se exercite a criatividade. As formas de se aprender e de se produzir conhecimento se mostraram variadas (com movimentos corporais, música, ritmo, passeios etc). O saber é constitutivo do ser humano e sua produção deve ser sentida ou experienciada pelo ser humano integral (corpo, alma, espírito). Com relação ao ensino de matemática, nos primeiros anos escolares há muita imagem, história, vivência, cultivando-se um pensar imaginativo. Com o passar dos anos, o ensino torna-se mais explicativo, diminuindo gradualmente as imagens e as histórias / Abstract: The aim of this study, ethnographic, to understand the experience and spatial knowledge transmitted in a Waldorf school, located in Campinas (SP). The field work consisted primarily of participant observation. Tal comunidade tem mais de 250 anos de existência, de vida autônoma e de contato com as culturas da sociedade nacional. Sua escolha se deu pelo fato de se tratar de uma comunidade que vive fora dos padrões sociais condicionantes daquilo que, até pouco tempo, era conhecido como único modelo de "civilização". Fundamentada nas teorias na Etnomatemática, que estuda as várias maneiras de explicar e de entender os distintos contextos naturais e socioeconômicos, diferenciados no tempo e no espaço, teve como objetivo principal descrever e analisar os múltiplos lugares e espaços onde está inserida a sua cultura e que são fundantes para a constituição do ser daquele povo. Embora tenha lançado um olhar limitado e a partir de referenciais eurocêntricos, buscamos compreender as dinâmicas produções de conhecimentos que se manifestam nas ações diárias que, em grande medida se enraíza nas tradições e, consequentemente, nas relações místico-sagradas. Pudemos perceber, a partir das observações, que os espaços construídos, baseados nas crenças e fortalecidos nas ocasiões de encontros sagrados, se projetam para os modos/maneiras de ver o mundo e de se situarem dentro dele; e se projeta para o entendimento e organização de seus lugares, o que nos permitiu interpretar de forma transcultural e holística acerca do que os saberes/fazeres representam para a construção do ser Kalunga. Usando as técnicas de caráter etnográfico, procuramos analisar o desenvolvimento dessa organização, levando em consideração seus aspectos históricos, sociais e circunstanciais / Abstract: This research was performed in Kalunga community, reminiscent of old quilombos that formed in the northern state of Goias, precisely limited by the municipalities of Cavalcante , Monte Alegre and Teresina de Goiás This community has more than 250 years of existence, of life autonomous and contact with the cultures of national society. His choice was the fact that it is a community that lives outside the social standards of what conditions, until recently, was known as the only model of "civilization". Based on theories in Ethnomathematics, who studies the various ways to explain and understand the different natural and socio-economic contexts, different in time and space, aimed to describe and analyze the multiple spaces and places where it is located and that their culture are a foundation for the constitution of that people. Com base numa pesquisa bibliográfica, busca-se olhar que trabalhos eram realizados, como as ticas de matema se articulavam nestes, de que maneira elas estavam ligadas com o sociocultural e qual a sua relevância. É um exame histórico envolvendo o Programa Etnomatemática, que explora aspectos sociais/culturais relacionados com a díade Jesuíta- Guarani, visando recolher nos temas da vida cotidiana fatos para explicar o ser/saber/fazer/conviver humano, efetivando e reconhecendo por uma Historiografia Holística na Educação Matemática a Transculturalidade e a Transdisciplinaridade. Este entendimento evidencia os distintos pensamentos matemáticos das diferentes culturas e suas dinâmicas. A percepção do ser/saber/fazer/conviver no ambiente das Missões denota: o matema, que indica o potencial do ser humano ao longo da sua presença neste espaço, sua ânsia de sobreviver e transcender, entender, explicar, conhecer, criar e inovar; as ticas, que são distintos artifícios, artes ou técnicas, habilidades desenvolvidas na cultura dentro das características próprias do grupo; o etno, que são os Jesuítas Missioneiros. / Abstract: An ethnomathematics investigation about the works of the jesuits in the Seven People of the Missions of Rio Grande do Sul in the centuries XVII and XVIII is a study search to understandings on the presence of the tics of mathema in the activities of the jesuits at that place and period. With base in a bibliographical research, it is looked for to see that works were accomplished, how the tics of mathema pronounced in these, that it sorts things out they were linked with the socio-cultural and which its relevance. It is a historical exam involving the Ethnomathematics Program, that explores social/cultural aspects related with the pair Jesuit-Guarani, seeking to collect in the themes of the life daily facts to explain the being/to know/to do/to live together human, executing and recognizing for a Holistic Historiography in the Mathematical Education the Transculturalities and the Transdisciplinarities. This understanding evidences the different mathematical thoughts of the different cultures and their dynamics. The perception of the being/to know/to do/to live together in the environment of the Missions denote: the mathema, that indicates the human being's potential along his presence in this space, his anguish of to survive and to transcend, to understand, to explain, to know, to create and to innovate; the tics, that are different artifices, arts or techniques, abilities developed in the culture inside of the own characteristics of the group; the ethno, that are the Missionaries Jesuits. / Mestre
