Following this survey, which was intended to discuss the way in which nature left in translated literary texts, we start to contemplate the Euclidean thought from three perspectives: its temporality as thinker who interacted with the philosophical proposals of his time; their vision of the future, through engineering exercise as a source of funding for the realization of a modern country, coupled with his understanding of the Republic; and the establishment of a link between the author and the environmental issue through dialogue by ecocríticas bases, therefore, through the present echoes in À Margem da História (1909) that promote the need for social protection and state to Amazon and its natural system we can highlight Euclides da Cunha as an intellectual who discusses the problems in nature. Later, reaching the analytical time, introduced a discussion on the Euclides da Cunha to look at the relationship between man and nature in Os Sertões (1902), also present issues in À Margem da História (1909). The chronic nature, associated with the historical contexts of the region more explicit these elements started on your masterpiece. Thus, Uma Visão Euclidiana da Amazônia: À Margem da História discusses the ambivalence of the Euclidean thought against northern reality of the country, a thought that is being built along the stay of the author in the Amazon and that because of this is dual, forward of his time and protective. / O escopo da presente dissertação é discutir como Euclides da Cunha apresenta a Amazônia a partir da natureza, do homem e de suas interações n’À Margem da História (1909), para tanto adotamos inicialmente um estudo que contemplou a representação da natureza nos estilos de época que marcaram a história de nossa literatura brasileira. Após esse levantamento, que teve a intenção de discutir o modo pelo qual a natureza restava traduzida nos textos literários, partimos para contemplar o pensamento euclidiano a partir de três perspectivas: a sua temporalidade como pensador que interagia com as propostas filosóficas de seu tempo; a sua visão de futuro, por meio do exercício da engenharia, como fonte de custeio para a efetivação de um país moderno, associada a sua compreensão de República; e o estabelecimento de um elo entre o autor e a questão ambiental dialogada pelas bases ecocríticas, pois, por meio dos ecos presentes n’À Margem da História (1909) que fomentam a necessidade de amparo social e estatal para a Amazônia e seu sistema natural, podemos destacar Euclides da Cunha como um intelectual que discute os problemas na natureza. Posteriormente, alcançando o momento analítico, introduzimos uma discussão sobre o olhar de Euclides da Cunha para a relação entre homem e natureza n’Os Sertões (1902), questões também presentes n’À Margem da História (1909). As crônicas da natureza, associadas aos contextos históricos da região explicitam mais esses elementos iniciados em sua obra-prima. Assim, Uma Visão Euclidiana da Amazônia: À Margem da História discute a ambivalência do pensamento euclidiano frente a realidade do norte do país, um pensamento que vai se construindo ao longo da estadia do autor na Amazônia e que devido a isso é dual, a frente de sua época e protetivo.
