Försenade projekt är vanligt förekommande i byggbranschen och ger i regel en ökad kostnad för projektet. I examensarbetet studeras vad som är orsakerna till att förseningar uppstår och även hur ekonomin för projekten påverkas. Arbetet bygger på att författaren har intervjuat personer som har haft goda kunskaper om projekten och dess förseningar. I studien har fyra projekt som blivit försenade studerats. Respondenterna har varit platschefer för tre av projekten, en arbetschef för det fjärde projektet samt beställare för två av de studerade projekten. Syftet med examensarbetet är att försöka kartlägga orsakerna till att byggprojekt blir försenade. Det ska även framkomma förslag till hur förseningar kan elimineras eller minskas. Studien har visat att förseningar kan uppstå i flera olika skeden. Av dessa fyra projekt har ett blivit försenat innan byggstart, två under produktion och det fjärde har blivit försenat vid slutbesiktning. Det har även framkommit att det finns många olika orsaker till att en försening uppstår. Det kan vara allt från arkeologiska undersökningar till att olika installationer krockar. Men det finns även några orsaker som förekommit vid fler än ett projekt och det är bland annat mer bergsprängning än handlingarna visat och att bygget har påbörjats utan fullständiga bygghandlingar. / Delayed projects are occurring in the building trade and usually provide an increased cost for the project. This work studies what are the causes of delays and even the economics of the projects affected. This work is build on the authors interviews people who have good knowledge of projects and the delays. In the study, four projects have been delayed studies. The respondents have been the site managers for three of the projects, a foreman for the fourth project and orderer for two of the studies projects. The purpose of this work is to try to identify the causes of why the construction projects are delayed. It should also result in proposals for how the delays could be avoided or reduced. The study has shown that delays can occur in several stages. One of four of these projects has been delayed before the start of construction, two in production and the fourth has been delayed at the final inspection. It has also emerged that there are many different reasons for a delay. It can be anything from archaeological investigations to various installations crashes. But there are also some reasons that have occurred in more than one project and that is among other things more rock blasting than the document showed and that construction has begun without complete construction documents.
