Σοφός, Γεώργιος 24 January 2011 (has links)
In the present work the electric response of nanocomposites material consisted of elastomer blends as matrix and modified multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as reinforcing phase, is studied. The elastomer blends we studied was a mixture of HNBR and FKM elastotmers in 50/50 and 75/25 ratio respectively. Carbon nanotubes 10phr were added in both blends. Specifically, the dielectric response and the conductivity of elastomer nanocomposites is examined with parameters the content in MWCNT, FKM, the temperature and the frequency of the applied electric field. The dielectric response of those composite elastomer systems was studied in a wide frequency and temperature range.

Rechnerischer Festigkeitsnachweis eines Präzessionsdynamos nach FKM-Richtlinie in ANSYS / Analytical strength assessment of a precession driven dynamo using the FKM guideline in ANSYS

Beisitzer, Stephan, Scheffler, Michael, Beitelschmidt, Michael 08 May 2014 (has links) (PDF)

Clifford and composed foliations / Folheações de Clifford e folheações compostas

Lozano, Julia Carolina Torres 11 August 2017 (has links)
Singular Riemannian foliations in spheres provide local models for an extensive kind of singular Riemannian foliations, whose theory contributes in the understanding of Riemannian manifolds. Hence the importance of studying and classifying them, a research subject that still remains open. In 2014, Marco Radeschi constructed indecomposable singular Riemannian foliations of arbitrary codimension, most of them inhomogeneous, which generalized all known examples of that type so far. The present dissertation is a detailed study of his work, along with observations about the progress made on this dynamic field since that paper was published. Besides introducing preliminary notions and examples on singular Riemannian foliations, isometric actions and Clifford theory, it is explained a construction of inhomogeneous isoparametric hypersurfaces, due to Ferus, Karcher and Münzner, that was a fundamental framework for the results of Radeschi. After that, it is described exhaustively the construction of Clifford and composed foliations in spheres, which are the examples that Radeschi created using Clifford systems. In the sequel it is established an extraordinary bijective correspondence between Clifford foliations (merely geometric objects) and Clifford systems (purely algebraic objects). This text finishes examining the relations of homogeneity properties among FKM, Clifford and composed foliations.

Neue Schweißfunktionalität in Creo 4 mit den daraus entstehenden Vorteilen zur Simulation / New welding functionality of Creo 4 and the resulting advantages for the simulation

Waidmann, Axel 09 June 2017 (has links) (PDF)

Competing Myths of Nationalist Identity: Ideological Perceptions of Conflict in Ambon, Indonesia.

kathleenturner@hotmail.com, Kathleen Turner January 2006 (has links)
This thesis examines the 1999–2003 case of political conflict in Ambon, in Eastern Indonesia, in the context of political change in Indonesia from 1950-1998. It is argued that political transformation during this period was closely influenced by a much longer period of unprecedented social change preceding the politics of this period. It is suggested that the ideologisation of ethnic identities is likely to occur when structures of community are disrupted by changes in the contemporary world such as economic fluctuations or state policy interventions. One result is to disrupt traditional village communities so as to place individuals in stress situations making them susceptible to new nationalist ideologies. The other impact is to dislocate authority structures so that both incumbent and aspiring elites lose their power and authority and thus search for new ways in order to re-establish their moral and political legitimacy. It is argued that nationalism is able to offer a resolution to social disruption and thus to the community in search of social cohesion, while also functioning to rebuild elite authority. In ethnic nationalist ideology, insecurities and feelings of isolation are ameliorated by subsequent constructions of ‘us’ and ‘them’ where members of one distinct community are demarcated from other communities. It is suggested that myths of ancestry and homeland together with counterposed moral dichotomies appealed to the Ambonese who needed this form of ideological support. It is the insecurities and fear experienced by disrupted communities which promote this powerful ideological formula. It is asserted that conflict on the island has been characterised by this trend towards ideological absolutism where two conflicting ideological constructions have translated the conflict into a non-negotiable confrontation between opposing national rights. It is argued that these two ideological constructions have remained internalised on the island and embedded within the mindsets of both Ambonese Christians and Muslims, thereby rendering setbacks to conflict resolution.

Modern methodology for FE-Based Fatigue analysis of components under uni- and multiaxial fatigue.

Takahashi, Bruno Ximenes 04 July 2014 (has links)
Most of mechanical components and structures are subjected to time varying loading and therefore often present fatigue failure. Therefore, it is essential to consider the fatigue failure mode in the project of components, machines and structures under cyclic loading. Design of Machine Elements books are still the most used in industry as theoretical and practical reference for designing products against fatigue. However, many of them still do not include the latest findings and methodologies used in fatigue life assessment of structures. Additionally, overall, most of the specialized fatigue books also do not include detailed information about fatigue life assessment in a mechanical project view, as the fatigue analysis using Multiaxial Fatigue criteria and the fatigue life prediction using the Finite Element Method (FE-Based Fatigue Analysis). Based on this fact, this thesis proposes a procedure for predicting component and structures fatigue life, gathering together the most recent methods used in the fatigue area. Among the several subjects included in this procedure, we can highlight: the important contributions of the German Engineering Research Council (FKM-Guideline); the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the fatigue life assessment; the calculation of the mean stress factor using the pseudo stresses from FEA; the computation of the notch eect in geometrically complex components using the Relative Stress Gradient Method in conjunction with FEA, method which can be applied both in uniaxial loading and multiaxial loading; the estimation of the fatigue damage in structures under variable amplitude multiaxial fatigue loading; the selection of an adequate Finite Element mesh density to use in computational fatigue; and the aplication of the Multiaxial Fatigue theory and criteria, specially in FE-Based Fatigue Analyses, of which use is essential in structures under ciclic stresses in 2 or 3 directions (x,y,z).

Bestämning av dynamiska moduler hos fluorgummi FKM 70–1. : En motodbeskrivning för dynamiska modulvärden.

Johnsson, Emil, Hellgren, Elvira January 2020 (has links)
In order to quality assure and investigate material compositions in materials for components, safe methods need to be used to obtain correct results. When starting up a new analysis tool, a basic investigation is needed of how the tool is prepared, operated and how analysis data is interpreted. This is to maneuver the analysis tool correctly in the future work. Misuse of the analysis tool could potentially lead to the wrong material being selected for components and failure to respond to accident investigations. This thesis has been written at Husqvarna AB and its department Specialist Lab´s Material Laboratory. This study would lay the groundwork for how their new dynamic mechanical analysis tool should be used and operated to obtain correct material data for future analyzed materials. Dynamic mechanical analysis is a tool that has a wide range of application and Husqvarna's main purpose is to be able to analyze the dynamic mechanical properties of different polymers and rubber types. This study will primarily address an analysis of the dynamic properties of polyethylene FKM 70-1 in a DMA instrument. This is to carry out a successful analysis that can be used as a basis for future work in Husqvarna's DMA instrument.
