Apresentamos dois modelos de dois períodos para mostrar que o monopolista tem incentivo a adotar práticas anticompetitivas, mesmo que lhe sejam custosas, com o intuito de preservar seu monopólio. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This dissertation presents the incentives a monopolist in market for an essential good has to use sabotage to foreclosure an adjacent market in the case where this monopolist acts in an integrated setting in both markets. We present two two period models to show that the monopolist has an incentive to adopt anticompetitive practices, even if it is costly, to preserve its monopoly.
