"Kult klasiků" v československém filmu v období 1948-1989 / "The Cult of Classics" in the Czechoslovak Film in the Period 1948-1989

HLAVÁČKOVÁ, Terezie January 2018 (has links)
In connection with the new direction of cultural policy in Czechoslovakia, the Ministry of Education, led by Zdeněk Nejedlý, began to support the promotion of so-called classics in all spheres of art production in the so-called period of the Third Republic. In the early 1950s, numerous personalities were defined in individual disciplines, whose work met the ideas of socialist realism, and thus it was desirable to promote them. Part of this targeted propaganda was the filming of biographical films, or eventually the conversion of their work into a film screen. Despite the liberalization of ideological pressures in the 1960s, the genre of the biography remained popular, but the art component was considerably strengthened at the expense of the educational one. The aim of this diploma thesis is to reveal a circle of personalities whose life or work has been the subject of film adaptations, and based on several selected examples (to be refined during the work) to reconstruct the film image of their life and its transformation in the period under review.

The spectator of modernity : a practice-based investigation into the process of film reception in the context of the modern era

Suazo Zepeda, Jose Emilio January 2011 (has links)
The Spectator of Modernity is a practice based thesis that investigates the process of Film Reception from the perspective of the film as experienced by the individual and her/his apprehension of the interaction between the fictional world on screen and the everyday world. The written component of the project positions the historical context and explores the theoretical notions for the understanding of film-viewing as a decidedly modern activity of special significance for the individual's permanent quest for meaning. Accompanying the written element, an original audiovisual piece amalgamates the real life testimonials of memorable film experiences which form the qualitative analysis of the research, with the story of a fictional character wandering in the location of the city. The activity of the character, driven to investigate the memorable film experience and in permanent search for a way to reengage in a meaningful relationship with everyday reality, is argued that is analogous to the activity of film-viewing. Following the considerations of the theory and the findings of the qualitative analysis of the project, the audiovisual piece suggests that watching a film is as a form of flanerie carried out inside the cinema, through which the individual seeks to assign meaning to the transient and fragmented events of modern life.

Films minces mesoporeux doxydes mixtes de vanadium et de niobium comme électrode positive pour accumulateurs au lithium

Krins, Natacha 07 October 2009 (has links)
Mesoporous thin films are promising architectures for positive electrodes in Li-ion battery applications. A particular challenge in this field has been successful templating of vanadium-based oxides, materials known for their ability to host lithium, since their thermal instability and complex vanadium chemistry hinder templating through traditional soft-chemistry approaches. To address these technical problems we here develop the soft-templating of vanadium and niobium mixed oxides based on Evaporation Induced Micelles Packing using thermally stable polystyrene-b-polyethyleneoxide structuring agents. In-situ thermal monitoring via ellipsometry allows successful navigation of the thermal stability landscape. TEM and AFM analyses reveal homogeneous wormlike mesoporous structures whose pore and inorganic wall sizes can be tuned from 15 to 100 nm by changing the hydrophobic/hydrophilic surfactant chain lengths. Ellipsometric porosimetry shows that 100 nm thick films with a 15 nm pore size displays 30% electrolyte accessible porosity. The interconnected tridimensional mesoporous network has been highlighted by electronic tomography. Thicker films up to 1.3 µm are prepared by a multidipping process. The superiority of such nanoarchitectures compared to non porous materials in terms of electrochemical properties such as capacity are revealed using cyclic voltammetry.
