A técnica de forcing e aplicações / The forcing technic and applications

Pereira, Júnio Luan 18 March 2016 (has links)
O texto descreve a definição e formalização da técnica de forcing, através de uma abordagem direta, sem a conversão para modelos transitivos. Também usa esta abordagem para provar um certo número de teoremas de consistência no âmbito da aritmética de cardinais e afins. / The text describes the definition and formalization of the forcing technique, via a direct approach, without the transition to ground models. It also uses this approach to prove a number of consistency theorems on cardinal arithmetic and related subjects.

Tratamiento tributario del factoring en el Perú

Rocío Liu Arévalo, Eduardo Sotelo Castañeda 13 April 2015 (has links)

The effect of photoperiod and soil nutrient level of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium on the compostion and growth of the tomato

Gubbels, Cleophas Peter January 1954 (has links)
Tomatoes were grown in a greenhouse during the winter with different levels of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium fertilizer under both normal day length and normal day length extended with artificial light. Growth rates of plants and yields of fruit were recorded. An analysis was carried out on the fruit for sugars, titratable acidity and ascorbic acid and in both the leaves and the fruit, dry weight, total ash, total nitrogen, phosphorous and calcium were determined. Additional illumination depressed yield and fruit size but hastened maturity of the fruit by more than three weeks. In general, additional light increased ascorbic acid and titrateable acidity in the fruit, decreased moisture in the leaves, increased moisture in the fruit, increased ash weight and potassium in the leaves and fruit and increased calcium content of the leaves. Irradiation also increased the sugar content of the fruit where low levels of soil nitrogen were used but decreased sugar content of the fruit where higher levels of nitrogen were used. Low nitrogen in the soil was associated with high ash content of the leaves and fruit, especially under irradiation. Nitrogen increases in the soil resulted in increased nitrogen and decreased phosphorous and potassium content of the leaves and fruit and in increased calcium content of the leaves. The higher soil levels of phosphorous and potash tended to increase the ascorbic acid and titratable acidity content of the fruit, increase the phosphorous and potassium content of the leaves and fruit and decrease the calcium content of the leaves. Yield was increased as a result of the higher nitrogen treatments under normal light only. The fertilizer applications used had no effect in increasing yield under supplemental illumination. / Land and Food Systems, Faculty of / Graduate

West Florida Shelf Connectivity: An Exploratory Study

Reinert, Amanda Sue 21 March 2016 (has links)
This Thesis explores the connectiveness of the West Florida Shelf’s various areas of economic and ecological importance by considering five case studies of varying dynamic forcing influences and time. The advection of water about the shelf moves nutrients and has a direct impact on the shelf’s ecology and the determination of whether or not the shelf will be oligotrophic at any given time or location. The case studies are analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively after quasi-isopycnal particle trajectory calculations are completed for each. The findings support a combination of local and deep-ocean forcing being ideal for the maximum advection and opportunity for potential connectivity between areas of the shelf, and provide a solid guide for moving forward with a considerable ensemble of studies in the future to approach the question from a statistical perspective. The numerical scheme used to calculate the particle trajectories is a 4th order Runge-Kutta method. The scheme is investigated for it appropriateness and pitfalls as a backward trajectory calculation tool by direct comparison between forward trajectory calculations and attempting to replicate the result in the backward direction. The findings support that the more linear the trajectory and the more restrictive the dynamics acting upon a particle at any given location, the better the backward and forward replication will be, although it is still an approximation, much like any other iterative tool used for approximating a solution to an ordinary differential equation.
