Vändning av trafikelement : Konstruktion åt företaget Forshaga Svets & Smide / Turning of traffic elements : Construction for the company Forshaga Svets & Smide

Felix, Olsson January 2019 (has links)
Stenteknik i Karlstad AB is a company that manufactures traffic elements. These traffic elements are currently turned 180 degrees by an overhead crane and are considered to be time consuming and unsafe. In order to make the process more efficiently and safer, Stenteknik i Karlstad AB has requested a construction that offer this. Forshaga Svets & Smide has been assigned this task and this master thesis will generate a solution for them. The objective of the project is to find a solution that safe and efficiently turns the elements and thereby improves the working environment, reduces the production costs and lead times. The solution will also be produced in CAD format which will then be handed over to Forshaga Svets & Smide. The project began with a pilot study to create an overview of the current situation and obtain information about the subject. A requirement specification, containing requirements for the construction, was created by the information produced from the pilot study together with the wishes made by Stenteknik i Karlstad AB. The requirement specification has been the basis for this project. Different concepts have been created through concept generation methods. The concepts developed have been modeled so that they can then be presented to the project supervisor who either elaborated, corrected or rejected them. The “Hinge” became the final concept that is not in need of either engine or hydraulics. The Hinge is a concept based on an overhead crane to turn the traffic elements. With this concept the turning takes place in a safer and more efficient way than before. The project has followed the various stage of the product development process that have been studied during the program for Mechanical Engineering. Approximately 600 working hours have been spent on this project.

Utveckling av lägesställare med tillhörande utrustning för svetsrobot : Undersökning av rotations- samt infästningsmetoder av schaber i rotationsfixtur / Development of positioners and associated equipment for welding robot : Research of rotation- and attachment methods of a schaber in a rotation fixture

Olsson, Emil January 2018 (has links)
This exam report includes a construction solution for further development of a schaberdressing process commissioned by Forshaga Svets & Smide. Schabrar are used in the manufacturing process of the paper industry. They are attached to a cylinder and are used to peel the paper off and also clean the cylinder. This process takes place in a very humid environment and therefor requires that the schaber is equipped with stainless material.   To manufacture the schaber in stainless material would be unnecessary expensive. This problem can be resolved by covering the schaber with a stainless steel sheet by welding. This process is carried out at Forshaga Svets & Smide manually.   Because of this process is done manually today it’s very time-consuming and means a lot of unnecessary work for the employees. Forshaga Svets & Smide has therefore assigned Emil Olsson the assignment to try to automate the schaberdressing process to a certain point.   The purpose of this project is to shorten lead times and improve the working environment for the employees in the factory where the process occurs. This will be accomplished by automation of the rotation and the welding moments of the dressing process. The goal is therefore to develop and construct a technical solution to rotate the schaber by using Creo Parametrics and Autodesk Inventor Professional to help the welding robot with the welding process.   The project has resulted in a technical solution in which simplicity and efficiency are in focus.
