War between malware and antimalware software started two decade back and have adopted the modern techniques with the evolution of technological development in the field of information technology. This thesis was targeted to analyze the performance of freeware antivirus programs available in the market. Several tests were performed to analyze the performance with respect to the core responsibilities of these software’s to scan and detect the viruses and also prevent and eradicate form them. Although irrelevant for common users may be but very important for technical professionals, many tests were performed to analyze the quality of these softwares with respect to their effects on the system it-self like utilization and engagement of precious resources, processing times and also system slowdown because of monitoring techniques. The results derived from these tests show not only the performance and quality of these softwares but also enlighten some areas to be focused for further analysis.

Online and other forms of distance learning are a permanent fixture in the educational landscape. Mathematics taught in distance formats pose an even greater challenge to students and teachers alike. As mathematics is a skill subject, demonstration of concepts and processes is crucial, if not critical, to learning, particularly to visual and kinesthetic learners. Video podcasts and screencasts are the answer to distance students’ need for demonstration and explanation of mathematical topics. In the current economic climate, however, expensive audio/video capture software and hardware, as well as a lack of technical media support, make it virtually impossible to create such course materials. Also, there is the question of ownership of intellectual property if created with institutional funds and/or resources. Free capture software and internet video hosting sites make it possible for an individual to create his or her own podcasts and screencasts for student use, retaining ownership of the created materials.Materials developed for online students can be made available to students in seated class. This benefits students who are
unable to attend class, but can be made available to the entire class.

Die Finite Elemente Analyse hat sich in vielen industriellen Anwendungsgebieten zu einem elementaren Werkzeug für den Produktentwicklungsprozess entwickelt. Zu diesen Anwendungsbereichen zählen u. a. der Fahrzeugbau, die Medizintechnik und der Sondermaschinenbau. Neben Strömungssimulationen und der numerischen Berechnung von elastomechanischen Strukturen sind auch thermomechanische Analysen mithilfe der FEA durchführbar. Kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen können jedoch nicht immer auf einen wirtschaftlichen Einsatz von kommerziellen FEA-Tools zurückgreifen und sind folglich auf Freeware Programme wie Z88Aurora® angewiesen.
Die häufig für den Entwickler interessierende stationäre Wärmeleitung und die aus dem Temperaturunterschied resultierende thermische Dehnung von Bauteilkomponenten gehören längst zum Tagesgeschäft. Für eine realitätsnahe Auslegung von beispielsweise Kühlkörpern oder Rippen muss zusätzlich die konvektive Wärmeübertragung berücksichtigt werden. Hierbei wird der Wärmetransport zwischen einer Bauteiloberfläche und dem Umgebungsmedium, wie z. B. Luft oder Kühlwasser, untersucht. Diese erweiterte Abbildung der Temperaturanalyse definiert als Randbedingung eine Wärmestromdichte auf einer Bauteiloberfläche, welche proportional zur Temperaturdifferenz beider Systemkomponenten ermittelt wird. Zudem gehen nichtlineare Einflüsse aus den Materialeigenschaften des Fluids und aus dem entstehenden Strömungsverhalten über den sog. Wärmeübergangskoeffizienten in die Simulation ein. Aufgrund dieser Komplexität kann über empirisch ermittelte Korrelationsgleichungen die Bestimmung des Wärmeübergangskoeffizienten erreicht werden.
Diese Erweiterung des Thermomoduls wird in der neuen Version von Z88Aurora®V5 dem Anwender zur Produktentwicklung angeboten. Eine für den industriellen Einsatz essentielle Validierung der Berechnungsergebnisse wird über analytische Vergleichsrechnungen am Beispiel einer Kühlrippe nachgewiesen.

Návrhy využití geografických informačních systémů v hodinách zeměpisu na základních a středních školáchNERAD, Jiří January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the practical integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) into geography classes at elementary and secondary schools. Suggested suggestions on how to use GIS in the educational process precede the theoretical starting point of the work. They deal with the wider context of the position of geoinformatics and the level of geoinformatics literacy in the Czech Republic. Sub-chapters about the structure of geoinformatic literacy are also included. The theoretical background continues with the topic of anchoring GIS in national education papers and ends with a chapter about GIS interdisciplinarity and its potential for use in teaching. The methodological part describes the structure of the questionnaire, the methodology of selection of addressed schools and the actual course of the questionnaire survey on the rate of use of GIS in geography classes at elementary and secondary schools. Next, the methodology of selecting freeware GIS programs described and used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part is divided into three main subchapters reflecting the aims of the thesis. The first one deals with the results of the questionnaire survey. The second evaluation of available GIS programs and their potential for implementation in education. The last subchapter is the main part of the thesis and it deals with suggestions of using GIS in geography lessons at elementary and secondary schools. It includes three learning activities. The first is dedicated to creating own map and second to geographic location. Both of these activities with selected GIS were implemented in geography classes at primary school. The last part presents suggestions on how to use GIS to learn about current topics and issues.
