Nowadays the evolution of civilization gives us the opportunity to have more and more free time and fun is taken as just like one of the opportunities how time can be used. Architecture going to be only a tool for developing and promoting business within amusement parks. But how does entertainment affect us? Do we need have fun? And what else can give a person a symbiosis of joy and architecture? The aim of this work is to analyze the problem of relations between fun and architecture and suggest a solution in a specific architectural intention.

A coloração avermelhada forte deve-se a presença do pigmento betalaína que contém ação antioxidante. Alguns compostos presentes na beterraba são sensíveis à exposição ao calor. Deste modo, o objetivo deste trabalho é a avaliação de dois métodos de secagem do extrato aquoso de beterraba. Os métodos serão: secagem em leito em espuma e por atomização. Na secagem em leito de espuma será avaliado a performance de dois agentes espumantes, estudado a cinética do processo, ao empregar as temperaturas do ar de secagem de 40, 50, 60, 70 e 80 ºC. <p>Scrabble är ett populärt korsordsliknande brädspel som funnits på svenska sedan 1950-talet. Datorprogram som spelar Scrabble har funnits sedan och 1980-talet. De flesta har haft som fokus att spela så optimalt som möjligt och utmana de bästa mänskliga spelarna. Det här arbetet undersöker hur man kan skapa en ”Fun-AI” för Scrabble som fokuserar på spelarens upplevelse och som lämpar sig för alla spelare oavsett nivå. Tre enkla AI-spelare skapas genom att använda grundläggande egenskaper som karakteriserar mänskligt spel. Utvärderingen visar att en relativt outvecklad AI tas för en människa av försökspersoner som spelat matcher mot AI-spelaren. Arbetet kan användas som grund för att gå vidare och utveckla AI:n genom att modellera fler och mer avancerade beteenden hos mänskliga spelare.</p>

MATERIAS E M??TODOS: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, descritivo e anal??tico. Os pacientes selecionados foram divididos em dois grupos: o grupo ATQ e o grupo de indiv??duos assintom??ticos, composto por sujeitos sem queixas de problemas, da mesma faixa et??ria. O estudo constou de aplica????o de formul??rio padronizado para coleta de vari??veis sociodemogr??ficas, avalia????o da QVRS pelo SF-36 e de fun????o do quadril atrav??s do Harris Hip Score (HHS). RESULTADOS: Foram avaliados 52 indiv??duos assintom??ticos e 51 pacientes submetidos a ATQ. Os escores de QVRS foram significativamente menores no grupo ATQ em todos os dom??nios do SF-36, particularmente nos dom??nios Capacidade Funcional, Aspectos F??sicos e Dor. Quando realizada a compara????o dos escores de QVRS de acordo com os resultados do HHS, nota-se que pacientes com HHS considerados bom ou excelente apresentaram menores pontua????es do SF-36 nos dom??nios Aspectos F??sicos, Estado Geral de Sa??de, Vitalidade e Aspectos Sociais, quando comparados com o grupo assintom??tico; os escores dos dom??nios Capacidade Funcional, Dor, Aspectos Funcionais e Sa??de Mental n??o foram significativamente diferentes nesta an??lise. Na an??lise multivari??vel a matriz de correla????es demonstrou que tanto o tempo de diagn??stico at?? a cirurgia como a intensidade da dor foram os fatores que mais fortemente impactaram na avalia????o da QVRS ap??s ATQ. CONCLUS??O: Pacientes submetidos a ATQ apresenta escores de qualidade de vida medidos pelo SF-36 inferiores a pares assintom??ticos, especialmente nos dom??nios Capacidade Funcional, Aspectos F??sicos e Dor. A obten????o de altos escores funcionais ap??s ATQ medidos pelo HHS contribui para melhores pontua????es na QVRS. Entertaing our lives: the way to incorparate “fun” elements to furniture design

The rapid development of furniture design has changed people's lifestyle. Nowadays, customers have multiple choices of choosing products in the market. To immediately attract viewers' attention becomes the increasing challenge among designers and manufacturers. Making “fun” design is one of the strategies that could appeal customers. The topic of this thesis is to discuss the importance of combining “fun” characters to furniture design to create a strong first impression to customers. Nowadays, Human centered design (HCD) has become a trendy concept to designers. Based on this concept, I researched and designed a set of furniture, including a chair, a coat rack, two stackable stools and a coffee table. The thesis is mainly analyzing this furniture series that the way the “fun” elements are combined in its design. This set furniture is made of Bamboo plywood and Nylon rope, which are environmentally friendly materials. Moreover, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology, ergonomic and 3D printing technology are utilized to produce these products. Each piece of furniture includes a unique “fun” character, which can reinforce customers' first impression when they see these designs. The furniture series is designed based on functional and aesthetic aspects. I will also illustrate the way to achieve these two aspects by utilizing different material, form, and ergonomics.
