Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αφορά στη σχεδίαση και υλοποίηση ενός προγράμματος που θα απεικονίζει το επιτραπέζιο παιχνίδι Scrabble σε αντίστοιχη έκδοση για υπολογιστή, χρησιμοποιώντας αποκλειστικά την ελληνική γλώσσα, τόσο στο λεξιλόγιο όσο και στην απεικόνιση των εντολών και πληροφοριών του παιχνιδιού. Χρησιμοπoιώντας τη γλώσσα προγραμματισμού JAVA, δημιουργήθηκε το γραφικό περιβάλλον της εφαρμογής και στη συνέχεια αναπτύχθηκαν οι αλγόριθμοι που θα καθιστούσαν δυνατή την έναρξη μιας παρτίδας του παιχνιδιού ανάμεσα σε έναν άνθρωπο-παίκτη και στον υπολογιστή. Συγκεκριμένα αναπτύχθηκαν αλγόριθμοι για τη δημιουργία αναγραμματισμών από οποιαδήποτε δοσμένη λέξη, αναζήτησης των βέλτιστων λέξεων για τοποθέτηση στο ταμπλώ, αλλά και αλγόριθμοι υπολογισμού της βαθμολογίας των αντιπάλων. Επίσης αναζητήθηκε και ευρέθη η βέλτιστη λύση αναζήτησης μέσα σε μακροσκελές λεξικό. / This diploma dissertation presents the design and implementation of a program that outputs the classic board game of Scrabble for use in a computer environment, making exclusive use of the Greek language for the dictionary used, as well as the rest of the information and messages presented throughout the game. Using the JAVA code language, we created the graphic environment of the application and we also developed the algorithms that enabled the proper advance of the game between a human player and the computer. We specifically developed the algorithm of finding the anagrams of any given word, the algorithm of searching for the “best” word for placing on the board, but also algorithms of calculating the score of both opponents. We also had success in searching and finding the best implementation of traversing through a long dictionary.

<p>Scrabble är ett populärt korsordsliknande brädspel som funnits på svenska sedan 1950-talet. Datorprogram som spelar Scrabble har funnits sedan och 1980-talet. De flesta har haft som fokus att spela så optimalt som möjligt och utmana de bästa mänskliga spelarna. Det här arbetet undersöker hur man kan skapa en ”Fun-AI” för Scrabble som fokuserar på spelarens upplevelse och som lämpar sig för alla spelare oavsett nivå. Tre enkla AI-spelare skapas genom att använda grundläggande egenskaper som karakteriserar mänskligt spel. Utvärderingen visar att en relativt outvecklad AI tas för en människa av försökspersoner som spelat matcher mot AI-spelaren. Arbetet kan användas som grund för att gå vidare och utveckla AI:n genom att modellera fler och mer avancerade beteenden hos mänskliga spelare.</p>

Especially after the election of the appropriate data structures retained for the vocabulary, affecting the efficiency of generating moves, and the selection of appropriate algorithms with regard to the maximum speed. There is particular emphasis on artificial intelligence opponent and its ability to compete not only amateurs, but professional SCRABBLE players.

Method/Material: Since this is an imageanalys the main material has been consisted of advertising images, a total of seven. In addition, art images have been used as comparative material. The advertising images have been strategically selected, however they are modern and aestetically appealing. A number of questions have been formulated wich is the basis of the analys. Main results: Primarily the study found that art has influenced today’s advertisingimages in different ways. Especially the emotionell and spiritual part has been captured in today’s adertisingimages in ways that could only come from art. The depth and spirit in the image is a way to reach out to the recipients on a much deeper level. This is exactly what art was all about. Advertising is no longer only informative and plane, it is almost in some ways similair to art.
