Funkcionální analýza organizace / Functional Analysis of the Organization

Buštová, Martina January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the functional analysis of the organization. The theoretical part of the thesis is aimed at the concept of formal organizations in terms of the main sociological paradigms, with an emphasis on the structural functional paradigm and AGIL paradigm defining the four major subsystems of the organization. The research part of the thesis deals with the indentification and analysis of these subsystems. For data collection were used three research methods - questionnaire, interview and study of documents. The output is the analysis of subsystems in order to determine their functionality. On the basis of its results the socio-technical recommendations are determined for the organization.

A conjugação de \'ser\' e de \'ter\' em alguns livros didáticos de português língua estrangeira sob a ótica do pensamento complexo / Analisis of the way that the verb conjugation of \"ser\" (to be) and \"ter\" (to have) is presented by Portuguese as foreign language books visualized from the complex paradigm

Zampietro, Linei Matzenbacher 23 May 2007 (has links)
From a theory basis that crosses texts from the complex paradigm (Philosophy), the functional paradigm (Linguistics) and several other authors from Didactics, Sociology and Applied Linguistics, anyhow affined with the paradigms above, we will make an analysis of the way that the verb conjugation of \"ser\" (to be) and \"ter\" (to have) is presented by our corpus - four Portuguese as foreign language books largely sold in the South and Southeast of Brazil - and try to visualize through this analysis in which degree each of these books gets close to our theory basis. The result of this \"texts crossing\" is summarized in quests form in chapter 5 to be met or not by our corpus analyzed in chapters 6 and 7. Such theory basis considers the individual/learner as an extremely complex being, a carrier of many different aspects that, once not taken into account in the language acquisition process, such acquisition extremely complex itself, one takes the risk to have this individual frustrated in his legitimate try to learn Portuguese as a foreign language. As an improvement suggestion on how verbal conjugation of \"ser\" and \"ter\" could be presented by the Portuguese as foreign language books focused in this dissertation, we will describe how the verb conjugation of \"be\" and \"have\" is presented by the New Interchange series, besides offering improvement suggestions inspired by our theory basis and by our own experience in the field of teaching Portuguese as foreign language.

Evaluating cyclomatic complexity on functional JavaScript

Håkansson, Jesper, Badran, Sherief January 2016 (has links)
Bugs in software is a very common problem, code reviews can help to catch bugs early on and detect which code is the most complex and may introduce bugs but when the code base is very large it can be costly to review all the code. Cyclomatic complexity can be used to give an indication of how complex the system source code is and help the developers to select which code they should review. But when measuring cyclomatic complexity on code written according to the functional paradigm, McCabe’s formula will not be sufficient since it is a formula most suitable for imperative code. Therefore we are making adaptations to a formula suited for pure functional languages in order to fit functional JavaScript. We are using an inductive empirical quantitative measurement method to calculate cyclomatic complexity on a directed graph implementation in order to define adaptations for functional JavaScript. Our results show a working adapted version of the formula. We have measured on a graph implemented in Haskell and on a corresponding functional JavaScript version which results in a cyclomatic complexity difference at only 0.375.

Pokročilé programové konstrukce a programovací techniky jazyka Swift / Advanced programming constructs and techniques in the Swift language

Čislinský, Jan January 2017 (has links)
The thesis focuses on advanced programming constructs and techniques of the Swift programming language. At the beginning programming paradigms that are supported by the Swift design (object-oriented and functional) are introduced. Concepts of each paradigm are described and Swift is then evaluated by the level of support for these paradigms. Following programming constructs are described in-depth: working with variables, optional types, enumerated types, functions and closures. Creating of custom operators and subscripts. Operations with protocols, generic types and parallel program execution. Error handling with throwing functions. Detailed explanation of value types and their differences from reference type is given too. Thesis also explains nested types and all higher-order functions in Swift. At the end are described extensions; specifically extension of computed property, initialization function, function, subscript, nested type and protocol and generic types extensions. In the last section of the thesis these advanced programming techniques are described; function chaining and composition, structure saving, performance optimization of value types, reflection in the Swift programming language and how modules and namespaces work. At the end protocol-oriented programming is introduced.

Využití funkcionálních jazyků pro hardwarovou akceleraci / Hardware Acceleration Using Functional Languages

Hodaňová, Andrea January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to research how the functional paradigm can be used for hardware acceleration with an emphasis on data-parallel tasks. The level of abstraction of the traditional hardware description languages, such as VHDL or Verilog, is becoming to low. High-level languages from the domains of software development and modeling, such as C/C++, SystemC or MATLAB, are experiencing a boom for hardware description on the algorithmic or behavioral level. Functional Languages are not so commonly used, but they outperform imperative languages in verification, the ability to capture inherent paralellism and the compactness of code. Data-parallel task are often accelerated on FPGAs, GPUs and multicore processors. In this thesis, we use a library for general-purpose GPU programs called Accelerate and extend it to produce VHDL. Accelerate is a domain-specific language embedded into Haskell with a backend for the NVIDIA CUDA platform. We use the language and its frontend, and create a new backend for high-level synthesis of circuits in VHDL.
