Le Gabon est l’un des rares pays en Afrique Centrale pour lequel la langue française est à la fois langue officielle et langue nationale. Quoique comptant une cinquantaine de langues ethniques, la langue de Molière constitue le seul trait d’union entre les différents groupes sociolinguistiques. Néanmoins le français parlé au Gabon comporte des différences aveccelui parlé en France ; en ce sens que, quoique parlant la même langue, certains mots français prennent une toute autre signification au Gabon. Dans notre travail, cette dichotomie sera mise en lumière via la théorie de la sémantique cognitive et conceptuelle des schémas conceptuels intégrés élaborée par le Professeur Marie Luce SELOSSEHONESTE, qui met la culture comme curseur explicatif dans le mode de retrait de sens. / Gabon is one of the few countries in Central Africa where the French language is both an official language and a national language. Although the language of Molière is about 50 ethnic languages, it is the only link between the various sociolinguistic groups. Nevertheless, French spoken in Gabon differs from that spoken in France; In that, although speaking the same language, some French words take on a different meaning in Gabon. In our work, this dichotomy will be brought to light via the theory of the cognitive and conceptual semantics of integrated conceptual schemas developed by Professor Marie Luce SELOSSE-HONESTE, that puts culture as an explanatory cursor in the mode of withdrawal of meaning.
