L'impact de la formation sur la productivité du travail : une étude longitudinale dans l'industrie pharmaceutique en Iran / The relationship between training and labor productivity : A longitudinal study in Iranian pharmaceutical companies

Mohammadi, Mohammad Ali 10 December 2012 (has links)
Since human resources and its productivity is the main and key factor inproductivity of the whole organization and its economic operation, possessingeffective human resources who bear appropriate and adequate knowledge, skilland attitude to perform the delegated responsibilities in appropriate quality andquantity, is considered as a valuable capital and will bring considerableeconomic benefits for the organization. For this reason, various organizationsinvest on developing their labors capabilities and expend considerable financialresources in addition to the lost working opportunities related to the staffsinvolved in the training process which have its own special costs. Theorganization managers always have questioned whether the expended resourcesand investments to train the staffs (which include various costs especially thelost opportunity cost and separating from the staffs in different job levels) havehad the required and expected effectiveness or not.For this reason, selecting appropriate model and approach to evaluate the effectof implemented trainings, including specific and general trainings, on the laborproductivity in an organization is very important and essential which is thepurpose of this research. To research on this issue and to determine the relation and effect of training onlabor productivity, this research was performed in quantitative method usingpanel data technique. Since two types of production function has been utilizedto evaluate the effect of training on labor productivity, the research 12hypotheses have been analyzed two times and for this reason, 24 models andrelations between the variables have been defined, examined and analyzed. The findings showed that total training cost variable and per-capita capitalvariable have significant effect on labor productivity in Iran pharmaceuticalcorporations.According to the research results regarding the effect of various trainings on thelabor productivity in different pharmaceutical corporations and in case ofselecting linear model to explain the relation between training and productivity, the following issues are notable:5- General trainings have mainly and insignificant effect on the laborproductivity in different corporations. This result is identical to the resultsderived using panel model for all corporations.- Specific trainings in general have positive and significant effecton the labor productivity in different corporations. This result is identical tothe results derived for all corporationsIf the Cobb-Douglas production function is used to explain the relationbetween various trainings and labor productivity, the following results can bepresented:- General trainings have insignificant effect on the labor productivityin corporations under study, and even this relation in some corporation isestimated negative.- The relation between specific trainings and labor productivity has beenestimated positive and significant in all corporations under study.

Assessing English Proficiency in the Age of Globalization : The Case of IELTS / Att bedöma engelsk språkkunskap i globaliseringens tid : i fallet IELTS

Mehraban, Bahman January 2022 (has links)
This study investigates the use and relevance of the most widely used test of English proficiency in the era of globalization, i.e. IELTS. It discusses different versions of the test along with their corresponding components. General Training IELTS Writing Task 2 is the central focus of the thesis, and as the result of the test directly impacts the future trajectories of the test takers' professions, the issue is of real life relevance and significance. The study concentrates on three of the scoring criteria included in the General Training IELTS writing rubric which are used to assess test-takers’ achievements on cohesion and coherence, lexical diversity, and grammatical range and accuracy. As the rubric attributes increases in these three measures solely to higher levels of proficiency in English and ignores the impact of such factors as age of the test-takers and their level of education, keeping proficiency level constant can be expected to result in a uniform performance on those measures. For this reason, groups of English native speakers (as homogenous groups with the highest possible level of proficiency) constituted the participants in this study who contributed to the written texts which were later analyzed as the primary data. It was attempted to see if they would exhibit invariably equal levels of performance on those three areas in their writing. In addition, the IELTS website openly states the so-called Standard English varieties spoken by native speakers in Britain, Canada, US, Australia, and New Zealand as the basis of its proficiency assessment. Analyzing texts written by groups of native speakers from those countries could verify the proposed validity of such claims.   The data used in this study consisted of texts written by English native speakers retrieved from the LOCNESS Corpus as well as some texts collected through two especially designed Google Forms. The texts later underwent automated textual analysis using an online program called Coh-Metrix to collect their textual features in the form of numeric indices on the areas of cohesion and coherence, lexical diversity, and grammatical range and accuracy. Those indices were then analyzed for statistically significant differences using such statistical procedures as ANOVA analyses, t-tests, and correlation studies. Findings indicated significant differences among different groups of English native speakers on the investigated measures. It is argued that IELTS not only fails to capture the contemporary realities around the use of English worldwide but also assesses test takers on expectations which are not met even by English native speakers. Due to the diverse use of English in professional as well as daily encounters in the age of globalization, it is most probable that a single way of assessing English proficiency fails to meet the requirements of every single context of English use, and it is more justified for recruiting organizations to base their proficiency assessment on more locally-defined norms and practices.

Zastoupení vybraných obecných a speciálních tréninkových ukazatelů v RTC u vybraného florbalového týmu. / Representation of selected general and specific training indicators in ATC in a selected floorball team.

Czeczinkar, Martin January 2015 (has links)
Title: Representation of selected general and specific training indicators in ATC in a selected floorball team. Objectives: Performing a literature review, focusing especially of foreign scientific articles regarding the characteristics of floorball and related fitness training. Monitoring the representation of fitness training in a selected extra-league men's team during all training periods of a chosen annual training cycle (2014/2015) using the newly introduced XPS network software. Methods: Upon completion of the literature review, research was performed by conducting the content analysis of training documents kept during the 2014/2015 annual training cycle ("ATC"). The newly created software was part of the analysis. The software was distributed for the needs of floorball practice. In order to evaluate general categories and specific training indicators, natural selection was employed. Comparison was used to assess selected indicators. In addition, physical fitness was evaluated using selected UNIFITTEST 6 - 60 tests (Měkota, Kovář, 1996); however, this type of assessment does not belong to core of this paper. Results: The results suggest that sports performance is affected, to a degree, by general training indicators such as the number of days or the total of training time. However, the most...

Dubský, Petr January 2018 (has links)
Objective: Training and abilities of two junior athletes Prepared by: Bc. Petr Dubský Supervisor: PaedDr. Jitka Vindušková, CSc. The aim of the work: The aim of the work was to determine the level of performance of selected members of the training group, namely two juniors. To analyze the structure and content of their training, their performance in selected tests, and performance development in their main disciplines. Methodology: The analysis of the competitive results from 2012 to 2017 was used to analyze the performance of the individual seasons. I also analyzed the training records, where general and special training indicators were evaluated and compared with the results of similar analyzes of other athletes. I will also analyze the three measurements we have completed with the whole training group. Conclusion: The result shows that the training load in selected athletes, either according to literature or in comparison with other athletes, is insufficient in both individuals. After evaluating testing, I concluded that the test types were wrongly selected. This work has confirmed the importance of keeping track of the training records. Keywords: athletics, juniors, general training indicators, special training indicators, annual training cycle, 800 m run, 1500 m run, 400 m hurdles run
