Osmany Mendes Parente Filho 26 April 2012 (has links)
This research was mainly aimed to analyze the root causes of resistance to e-learning in Corporate Education, focusing on generational groups Baby Boomers, X and Y. relevance of this theme is due to the increased adoption of distance learning in organizations, which comes consolidating this innovative practice, and the context in which the organizations are inserted, where understanding on the issue of differences between generations is an important tool that managers of contemporary organizations can use to create greater productivity, innovation and minimize resistance to e-learning in its Corporate Education workforce. The starting point was primarily the assumption that there is a difference between the dimensions resistance to e-learning between generational groups Baby Boomers, X and Y. As a hypothesis, also had to: the generation X resistance to e-learning is predominantly linked to Dimensions: facilitating conditions, self-efficacy and expectancy that effort and in the Generation Y resistance is predominantly linked to the dimensions: facilitating conditions and resistance EAD in the EC. Was used as theoretical framework a survey of the thematic e-learning, corporate education, resistance to e-learning and generational groups. The methodology used was applying a survey in a group of 185 individuals who responded to a questionnaire compound 34 assertions grouped into seven constructs. The results do not point significant difference between the dimensions causing resistance, the EAD in the EC. Furthermore that there are no significant differences between generations, it was found that the three constructs suffered higher degree of resistance in generational groups were surveyed: Communication Internal, Interactivity and facilitating conditions. Having the Internal Communication constructs and Interactivity appeared in every generation, when listed the three main constructs causing resistance.
