No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao_Final.pdf: 12696467 bytes, checksum: 8416f0c89501b2d45edd62ef64b24c6b (MD5) / RESUMO O objetivo desta dissertação foi investigar a estruturação do espaço intraurbano de Valença, entre 1990 e 2015, nos bairros Tento e Novo Horizonte, a partir da implantação do Instituto Federal de Educação Ciência e Tecnologia Bahia – IFBA, em meados da década de 1990, e após implantação da sede própria da Universidade Estadual da Bahia – UNEB campus XV, no início da década atual. Para realizar essa trajetória, no primeiro capítulo, desenvolvemos uma análise introdutória que possibilitou entender a contextualização da pesquisa. Em seguida, o segundo capítulo abordou a questão do método e metodologia adotados, detalhando os aspectos estruturais da pesquisa. O terceiro capítulo, possibilitou destacar alguns aspectos sobre a cidade, como indicadores geográficos, legislação político/administrativa, recursos naturais e elementos cronológicos da apropriação do espaço em Valença. Por fim, o quarto capítulo possibilitou analisar os processos de estruturação urbana nos bairros Tento e Novo Horizonte. / ABSTRACT The objective of this work was to investigate the structure of the Valença intra-urban space, between 1990 and 2015, in the Tento and Novo Horizonte neighborhoods, from the implementation of the Federal Institute of Science and Technology Education Bahia - IFBA in the mid-1990s, and after implantation of a headquarters of the State University of Bahia - UNEB campus XV at the beginning of the current decade. To accomplish this trajectory, in the first chapter, we have developed an introductory analysis which enabled to understand the context of the research. Then the second chapter addressed the question of method and methodology adopted, detailing the structural aspects of the research. The third chapter, made it possible to highlight some aspects of the city, such as geographical, political / administrative law, natural resources and chronological elements of appropriation of space in Valença. Finally, the fourth chapter made it possible to analyze the urban structuring processes in the neighborhoods Tento and Novo Horizonte.
