Whichever case, the state is under transformation, and fast, aligning itself to a complex and turbulent environment of modern management, where players who act, in general, influencing the way labor is done, therefore, interfering in the structural model of public government agencies. The present research work aims at analysing the Management and Administration State Government Agency of Amazon (SEAD), covering its contextual dimensions, verifying whether organizational practices are compliant with its structure. The literature aid will try to clarify important questions for the evolution of this present work, such as: wich is SEAD`s structure and which practices are observed? Such keyquestions will provide the foundation for the answer to the main question which is: Is the Management and Administration State Government Agency of Amazon (SEAD) organizational practice compliant with its structure? / O Estado contemporâneo se defronta com novas demandas e ofertas por parte da sociedade, envolvida em crises e contradições que suscitam a busca de novas alternativas de gestão, seja porque o modelo de Estado social está se encaminhando para um novo paradigma, seja porque está atravessando momentos críticos de governabilidade, esgotamento fiscal e disfunções burocráticas. Em qualquer caso, o Estado está se transformando, e rápido, alinhando-se ao ambiente complexo e turbulento da gestão contemporânea, no qual operam atores que, geralmente, influenciam a forma como o trabalho é prestado, portanto, interferem no modelo estrutural dos órgãos públicos. O presente trabalho de pesquisa visa analisar a Secretaria de Administração e Gestão do Estado do Amazonas (SEAD), abrangendo suas dimensões contextuais, verificando se a prática organizacional está congruente com sua estrutura. O auxílio da literatura tentará esclarecer perguntas importantes para a evolução deste trabalho, como por exemplo: Qual a estrutura da SEAD e que práticas são observadas? Tais questionamentos chaves darão base para responder à questão central: A prática organizacional da Secretaria de Estado de Administração e Gestão do Amazonas está congruente com sua estrutura?
