This diploma thesis analyzes the current situation of the individual planning of social services in a particular home for the elderly. It attempts to focus on uncovering the causes of partial failures in the individual planning process from the perspective of key employees. Therefore, the main research question of this diploma thesis is: "What are the problematic aspects of individual planning in a particular home for the elderly?" The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is focused on the legislative basis for the social services, including a definition of home services for the elderly, quality of social services, principles and specifics of individual planning with the elderly, and the role of the key employee in the system of individual planning during the provision of social services. In the introduction of the empirical part, the choice of qualitative research strategy has been justified where the technique of collecting data was described, units of the research were defined, the main research question was operationalized, and the research organization was described. The empirical part includes an analysis and interpretation of the findings from the research. The thesis "The influence of quality standards on the quality of social services provided in homes for the elderly" represents the current situation of quality of social services in selected homes for the elderly more detaily. The thesis in its introduction contains defined goals and hypotheses, explains the importance of individual terms that are used at work, and helps to understand their meaning and relationships among them. The thesis then outlines the current state of the problem, which is strongly shaped by the aging population and related reforms in the social services system and the overall quality of services provided in homes for the elderly. The following thesis' chapters deal with a description of the problem, definition and analysis ofthe actors involved, as well as theoretical background, which was used in the work. After the theoretical part, the thesis is transferred to the empirical one, where the chosen methodology and methods of data collection are described. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the qualitative and quantitative research that was conducted in four homes for the elderly in the Central Region and the capital city Prague. The aim of this master thesis is to design a new building of a nursing home with private garden and car park in Kroměříž. It is a two-storey building, without basement covered with a flat green roof with solar and photovoltaic panels. The building is divided in two parts. The southern part includes residential units (10 single units and 4 double units). The ground floor of the northern part includes dining room, a kitchen, staff premises and utility room and first floor includes further staff premises. Both parts are connected by a hall with stairs and an elevator. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from sand-lime blocks. The horizontal load-bearing structures, stairway and elevator shaft are designed from cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The envelope is insulated with mineral wool. The building will be heated and cooled with a heat pump. It will also have a mechanical ventilation system with heat and cold recovery and root zone greywater treatment plant. The thesis is carried out in Autodesk Revit 2020, Autodesk AutoCAD, Lumion and DEKSOFT software. All structures comply with the valid standards and regulations.

(in English) This diploma thesis entitled The Use of Expressive Approaches in Social Work with Seniors focuses on the analysis and insight into the issue of activation activities and therapies provided in homes for the elderly, in retirement home, in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, it defines old age, aging, care for the elderly, including residential services for seniors. It aims to provide a summary of expressive approaches used in working with seniors in homes for the elderly. It deals with the clarification of definitions, forms and methods of these techniques. The practical part of this thesis expands the issue into a real perspective. It investigates what activation activities and therapies are provided and practically carried out in homes for the elderly. It takes the form of qualitative research. Partial research objectives are to find out the relationship of clients of homes for the elderly to expressive techniques that they evaluate most positively; whether expressive approaches in working with seniors are an indispensable component of activation. The conclusion of the thesis summarizes the overall situation resulting from the investigation. Offers recommendations for working with seniors in the form of expressive methods.

The thesis deals with the issue of dying in homes for the elderly and its possible solution in the form of systematic introduction of palliative care into the practice of social facilities. The thesis describes the concept of human dignity, the foundations theoretical basis of palliative care and the concept of dignified dying. Furthermore, it presents ethical problems in dying and does not neglect the needs of dying. In the next section I deal with individual key aspects of palliative care and ethical dilemmas. The main aim of this work is to verify the possibilities of providing palliative care in homes for the elderly. Retirement homes are facilities where we normally meet with the death of our clients. Workers are ready to provide care to support the quality of life, but rarely are they ready to provide the same care to the dying. Palliative care focuses on satisfying the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual needs of the dying, but it is still not common practice in the elderly.

This thesis deals with the psychological and physical violence against seniors. The work consists of theoretical and practical parts . The theoretical part deals with the age when a person becomes a senior , what problems arise in this phase of life . A special chapter is devoted to the issue of violence, which arises his comrades , victims , people who commit violence and why. Then I write about social services for the elderly and special homes where the survey is conducted. With social work is closely linked to ethics and ethical dilemmas. In the last chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis summarizes all the knowledge gained from the literature. The practical part contains the objective of the survey , which was a data analysis focused on the verification of the hypotheses , the protection of clients within the quality standards of social services and ethical code of the device. The survey was conducted through semi-standardized interviews, which were recorded in data sheets with clients / users of a rest home and home with a special regime in Litvinov - Genoa and to the staff of the direct care facilities , head of medico- social department, social workers . The output is the final report for a device that will then work with the survey results in improving the quality of social services. The operational objective was prepared list of contacts can help the victims of violence. Another objective was to address the identified ethical dilemmas. Information obtained from the interviews were analyzed in the presentation of results and then summarized in a final discussion.

This dissertation focuses on the long term (2006 - 2015) unsolved problems with the critical nature of healthcare payments in residential social services (PZSS) in the Czech Republic. The aim is a critical reflection of the legitimacy and the causes of this condition, including past efforts to identify and solutions. The used research methods are institutional analysis in combination with critical discourse analysis. The work is conceived as a critically-oriented research on social and health policies in the field of health care financing in PZSS in the period 1998 - 2015. Main findings of the cause of this problem are the failure to use the tool health- insurance plans and their unjustifiable replacement tool called. Reimbursement regulations, the use of which in combination with by power unilateral approach in the contractual relationship between health insurance and PZSS not only leads to problems, but especially to the general alienation public health insurance from the objectives and functions of the health system itself, which provides in this case health care in PZSS.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to elaborate the project documentation of a new-built home for the elderly, in the cadastre unit of small town Blížkovice. It is a three-storey building with a basement. On the basement there are cellar berths, garage and technical facilities. On the first floor there is facilities, dining rom, a doctor´s surgery, massage, hairdresser´s and pedicure. On the second and third floor there are common areas and a total of twenty-two residentail units (1+kk – eighteen flats, 2+kk – two flats). The vertical loadbearing structures are made of clay blocks and lost formations. The object is insulated by a contact thermal insulation systém. The horizontal loadbearing structures and staircase are made of reinforced monolithic concrete slab. The roof consists of a flat roof with extensive green and terrace. There are ten parking spaces on the ground.

THE BUILDING HAS THREE FLOOR FLOORS. THE OBJECT IS BASED ON THE FOUNDATION STRIPS AND ARE ROOFED WITH A VEGETABLE FLOOR ROOF. VERTICAL CONSTRUCTIONS ARE DESIGNED FROM A WALL CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM USING CERAMIC BRICK BLOCKES. CURRENT CONSTRUCTIONS ARE COMPLETED WITH CONTACT INSULATING SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH ETICS PRINCIPLES. CEILINGS ARE MONOLITHIC REINFORCED CONCRETE SLABS. 19 APARTMENT UNITS ARE DESIGNED IN THE BUILDING. THE CAPACITY OF THE APARTMENT UNIT IS MOSTLY SINGLE IN MOST CASES. The aim of this master thesis is to design home for the residential care of elderly and disabled people in Žďár nad Sázavou. It is designed as a three-storey building with a basement. There are technical facilities, in the basement. Canteen, doctor´s office, manager‘s office and reception are located on the first floor. Second and third floor contains common premises and residential units.building has a prefabricated reinforced concrete structural framework with mineral wool thermal insulation. It is covered with an extensive green roof. Piles are designed as the foundation. Partition wall is designed from plasterboard. The project and 3D rendering were carried out in Revit and Lumion software. All structures comply with the valid standards and regulations. The building site contains also an outdoor car park and a park.
