The goal of this thesis is to find out state of information systems through analytical methods in company Vodovody a kanalizace Břeclav, a.s. The analysis will be focused on different parts of ICT in the company, mostly on effectiveness, suitability and harmony of hardware and software equipment. Proposals of ICT improvement including economic assessment will be also part of this thesis.

The corporate information strategy is based on the analysis of current situation of the company and its environment which uses modern trends in IT business. It is about a complex solution which should help to the growth of turnover, strengthen of mark of company and stabilize the market position.

This master's thesis focuses on designing an information strategy for an organisational unit of a civic association. Based on an analysis of internal and external environment of the unit, this thesis formulates the information strategy which will support achieving the set of strategic objectives, using selected components of information technology and information system.

The work processes are analyzed, their interconnection with the information system and where it is possible to improve the information system. To take into account a number of criteria and are designed such changes that will help employees and customers. This thesis describes the design of an information strategy for the Faculty Hospital in Brno, which is the largest provider of health services in Moravia. The first part includes theoretical aspects used. In the following chapter, there are analyses that aim to precisely describe the current situation of the organization. The third part contains draft of a new information strategy from several perspectives. At the end of this chapter there is a detailed time analysis which uses PERT methodology. The last part evaluates the costs and benefits of new information strategy of Faculty Hospital.
