En granskning av Socialdemokraternas och Moderaternas kriminalpolitiska linje : Med avseende på empiriskt stöd för inkapaciteringseffekten

Jaiem, Samira, Andersson, Elvira January 2022 (has links)
This paper aims to review the criminal policy presented on the Social Democrats and theModerates official website with respect to the incapacitative effect, and seeks to examine theextent to which the political parties presented an evidence-based criminal policy regardingincapacitative effect. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a qualitative content analysiswas carried out on each party's criminal policy, found on their websites. Political content wasthen set in relation to criminological research regarding the phenomenon. The Social Democratsdo not express anything in direct terms about the incapacitative effect, although their policiesindirectly imply a belief in the effect. The Moderates highlighted the incapacitative effect as acrime prevention measure, which is not in accordance with the research presented by the study. The parties, preferably the Moderates, have an overconfidence in the crime prevention effect ofthe incapacitation effect when compared to what the empirical evidence maintains.
