Dessa forma, como instituições produtoras e difusoras de conhecimento técnico-científico para a sociedade, compreende-se as escolas técnicas como organizações que ocupam posição fundamental para o desenvolvimento regional. Elas aproximam e/ou induzem a interação entre as atividades produtivas e a investigação científica, uma vez que as escolas técnicas fazem a interlocução entre as necessidades dos agentes produtivos, o desenvolvimento regional e a investigação científica. Neste contexto busca-se avaliar o papel das escolas técnicas para o desenvolvimento regional, compreendendo-as como elementos constituintes do sistema estadual de inovação. Neste contexto as escolas técnicas têm seu papel desempenhado a partir da produção e difusão de conhecimento; elas devem oferecer, ao aluno, meios para torná-los capazes de absorver e produzir conhecimentos especializados, multidisciplinares e potencialmente inovadores, além de capacitá-los para apreender a sociedade na qual estão inseridos. Em ambos os estudos de caso, escolas técnicas estaduais de Escada e Serra Talhada, observou-se que as escolas desempenham limitadamente estas funções de produção e difusão de conhecimento direcionado para o desenvolvimento regional. Não se verificaram, na prática docente, interações e relações de complementaridade entre as disciplinas e entre a escola e demais instituições e organizações regionais. Também se percebeu que algumas barreiras ao processo de difusão do conhecimento nas escolas técnicas decorrem de sérios e antigos problemas de descontinuidade e desintegração entre os diversos níveis e modalidades do sistema educacional, assim como a desconexão daquelas com o sistema produtivo local/regional. / The theme of this thesis fits conceptually a broad and integrated regional development, as seen here, intrinsically related to the production and dissemination of knowledge. Thus, producers and broadcasters as institutions of technical and scientific knowledge to society understands the technical schools as organizations in positions critical to regional development. They approach and / or induce the interaction between productive activities and scientific research, since technical schools make the dialogue between the needs of productive agents, regional development and scientific research. In this context we seek to evaluate the role of technical schools to regional development, understanding them as elements of the state system of innovation. In this context technical schools have their role from the production and dissemination of knowledge, they must offer the student the means to make them capable of absorbing and producing expertise, multidisciplinary and innovative potential, and empower them to seize the society in which they live. In both case studies, technical schools, state and Ladder Serra Talhada, it was observed that these schools play a limited production functions and diffusion of knowledge directed to regional development. There were, in teaching practice, interactions and complementary relationships between disciplines and between schools and other institutions and regional organizations. We also realized that some barriers to the process of diffusion of knowledge in technical schools and old stem from serious problems of discontinuity and disintegration among the various levels and types of education system as well as the disconnection of those with the productive system local / regional.
