Created in 2007, in a context of financial crisis that began in the USA, the Institute, taking as reference the intellectuals of the so-called Austrian School of Economics, seeks to introduce as an alternative to the growth of the inherent contradictions of capital, a project of society where all the dimensions of social relations are regulated only by the free market. Calling this sort of society by “anarcho”- capitalism, the Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil pursues to shape cadres among the civil society and join forces with others think tanks abroad and within Brasil to promote their ideal considered as “libertarian”. In order to achieve its objectives, the intellectuals and members of the Institute Ludwig von Mises Brazil claims for themselves the tradition and supposed “history of the Austrian School of Economics” implying to the “anarcho”-capitalism a tone of scientificity and infallibility; or anchored at the “solid” trajectory of the Austrian School of Economics history, or presenting the “libertarian” perspective and its solution to the various problems caused by the contradictions of the capitalist system. In this sense, the Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil, seeks to present capitalism as the only alternative, claiming that it has never been fully and completely implemented due the subversion of its nature, product of the action and existence of the State, considered to be like a monopoly company and regulator of social relations. / A presente dissertação tem como objetivo investigar os pressupostos teóricos e as formas de ação partidária do Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil (http://www.mises.org.br/). Surgido em 2007, no contexto de crise financeira iniciada nos EUA. O Instituto, tendo como referência os intelectuais da chamada Escola Austríaca de Economia, procura apresentar como alternativa ante o crescimento das contradições inerentes ao capital, um projeto de sociedade onde todas as dimensões das relações sociais sejam reguladas apenas pelo livre mercado. Caracterizando este projeto de “anarco”capitalismo, o Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil visa formar quadros entre a sociedade civil e somar forças com outros think tanks fora e dentro do Brasil, para a promoção de seu ideal tido como “libertário”. Para a efetivação de seus objetivos, os intelectuais e membros do IMB reivindicam para si a tradição da “história da Escola Austríaca de Economia”, dando ao “anarco”capitalismo um tom de cientificidade e infalibilidade ora ancorados na “sólida” trajetória desta escola, ora apresentando a perspectiva “libertária” e suas soluções para os mais variados problemas do sistema capitalista. Neste sentido, o Instituto Ludwig von Mises Brasil procura apresentar o capitalismo como única alternativa, apregoando que o mesmo nunca foi implementado de forma plena, pura, ideal e completa por conta da subversão de sua natureza, fruto da ação e da existência do Estado, tido como uma empresa monopolista e regulamentadora das relações sociais.
