En el presente estudio, se determinó el perfil de distribución de los genotipos y fenotipos de Paraoxonasa-1 (PON1) en 89 estudiantes de Farmacia y Bioquímica de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, mediante técnicas de biología molecular y bioquímicas, respectivamente. Se encontró que la actividad de PON1 tuvo una distribución unimodal y su media fue 167.01 ± 60.84 U/L. La media de la actividad arilesterasa (ArE) fue 63.44 ± 21.59 KU/L. Las frecuencias genotípicas para el polimorfismo PON1 192 (QQ, QR, RR) fueron 0.236, 0.607 y 0.157 respectivamente, mientras que para el polimorfismo PON1 –108C/T (CC, CT, TT) fueron 0.315, 0.596 y 0.09 respectivamente. En la población estudiada existe predominio de los heterocigotos QR y CT sobre los homocigotos. / In the present study, it was investigated the distribution profiles of Paraoxonase-1 (PON1) genotypes and phenotypes in 89 students of Pharmacy and Biochemistry of San Marcos University, using molecular and biochemistry techniques, respectively. It has found that the PON1 activity follows a unimodal distribution and its mean was 167.01 ± 60.84 U/L. The mean of arylesterase activity (ArE) was 63.44 ± 21.59 KU/L. The genotype frequencies to PON1 192 (QQ, QR, RR) polymorphism were 0.236, 0.607 and 0.157 respectively, while the frequencies to PON1 –108C/T (CC, CT, TT) polymorphism were 0.315, 0.596 and 0.09 respectively. In the studied population exists a predominance of the heterozygous QR and CT on the homozygous.
