Společenstvo potočnic na nepůvodních druzích raků ČR / Branchiobdellidan population on alien species of crayfish in the Czech Republic

LOŽEK, Filip January 2015 (has links)
The thesis summarizes the current knowledge about the class Branchiobdellae including their anatomy, ecology and geographic distribution with respect to the presence of introduced species in Europe. Using samples of Branchiobdellidan obtained from two introduced species of crayfish caught in a pond near Čáslavice u Moravských Budějovic (signal crayfish, Pacifastacus leniusculus) and in Černíský stream (eastern crayfish, Orconectes limosus), two out of seven European species of Branchiobdellidan were identified, namely B. parasita with 100% presence in the eastern crayfish and 58.7% presence in the signal crayfish, and B. pentodonta with 41.3% presence. Based on data collected from the caught crayfish and samples of Branchiobdellidan, the individual weight of eastern crayfish was proved to influence the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan on the body of crayfish (p<0.001), i.e. increased quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan was found on more robust specimens of crayfish, however the effect of gender was not statistically significant. With respect to the signal crayfish, a significant difference was observed in the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan depending on the weight of the crayfish (p<0.001), and the influence of the gender of the crayfish was detected (p<0.001), i.e. the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan was higher on the surface of male specimens of crayfish. The presence of eggs in some female signal crayfish had no significant effect on the quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan (p=0.052), however in combination with the weight, the influence of the presence or absence of eggs was proved (p=0.011), more robust females showed increased quantity and biomass of Branchiobdellidan.

Influência do tamanho das bases ósseas apicais no apinhamento dentário / Relationship of apical base length and dental crowding

Oscar Edwin Francisco Murillo-Goizueta 26 January 2009 (has links)
The influence of many factors on dental crowding has been studied since long time ago, mainly in its relationship with anterior lower crowding. But, the influence of the apical bases length on the dental crowding was still not clarified. As there are evidences in the literature, it was decided to carry out the present study to investigate the relationship between apical base lengths and maxillary and mandibular anterior dental crowding in Class II malocclusions. Eighty retrospective orthodontic patients, 47 males and 33 females with complete Class II malocclusions were divided into two groups according to mandibular tooth-arch size discrepancy. The maxillary and mandibular apical base lengths and tooth-arch size discrepancies were measured on the initial cephalograms and plaster casts, respectively. The intergroup apical base length and crowding were compared with t tests and correlation between base length and dental crowding was investigated for each dental arch. Results demonstrated that the group with greater crowding had significantly smaller apical base lengths. A negative correlation was also found between apical base length and dental crowding in complete Class II malocclusions.

Čelistní aparáty hlavonožců české křídové pánve - taxonomie a stratigrafické implikace / Cephalopod jaws from the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin - taxonomy and stratigraphic implications

Kozlová, Zuzana January 2020 (has links)
This work is focused on systematic research of cephalopod jaws from the Late Cretaceous. Samples of 147 newly recorded nautiloid rhyncholites from the Bohemian Cretacoeus Basin and one new ammonite rhyncholite from Řepov village were systematically analyzed. The new collection of lower ammonite jaws (aptychi) consists of 32 specimens. Nautiloid rhyncholites from localities Turkaňk, Úpohlavy, and Dreisen were determined as Nautilorhynchus simplex. Conchorhynchs from locality Vinary u Vysokého Mýta belong to the species Conchorhynchus cretaceous, which is associated with the commonmost species Eutrephoceras sublaevigatum. Ammonite rhyncholite is left in the open nomenclature due to its uncertain systematic position and it is not assigned to any ammonite species. Records of aptychi from the locality of Úpohlavy and Pecínov represent mainly species of heteromorphic ammonites - baculitids (Baculites, Sciponoceras). The total diversity of species from both localities reaches 20 ammonite species. The two jaw morphotypes (2 species of aptychi) are reported from the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin for the first time herein. Of the high importance, it is a record of ammonite Prionocyclus germari from Úpohlavy with associated lower jaws in situ within the body chamber. Aptychus of this taxon has never been...

Análise da vascularização da mandíbula edêntula pós-fratura: estudo por ultra-som doppler colorido / Analysis of the blood supply to post-fracture edentulous mandible. Study by color Doppler ultrasonography

Mancini, Julio Cezar Marques Assad 25 March 2008 (has links)
The treatment of edentulous mandibular fractures is motive of controversies in literature and one of the factors that make this treatment complex is the reduced blood supply. In this context, the doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive method that can be used in the analysis of changes in the vascularization of several corporeous segments and influence clinical decisions. The purpose of this study is to assess the vascular supply of edentulous patients, that have been treated of mandibluar fracture (experimental group), using the colored Doppler ultrasound. Possible correlations between the alveolar atrophy degree and the mandibular blood supply were analyzed. The arterial flow of vessels like external carotid, maxilar, facial, mentual, submentual and sublingual, after treatment, was compared with the arterial flow of the same vessels in a control group, consisting of edentulous fracture-free patients. With the use of linear probe extra-orally, the systolic-peak maximum velocity (SPV), final diastolic velocity (FDV), resistive index (RI), pulsatility index (PI) and acceleration of each artery, was obtained. Also, treatment details were obtained through clinical, radiological investigations, and hospital notes assessments. There was significant statistic differences to the values mentual artery RI, maxilar artery PI, submentual artery SPV, PI and acceleration. Also, in the analysis of the presence of obstructive vascular local factors, according to the artery and studied factors, statistically significant differences were observed to facial artery SPV, FDV and PI, sublingual artery RI, that present lower values when these factors were present. The experimental and control groups were similar in respect to variations in flow direction occurrence. In the analysis of the correlations between the studied factors and alveolar atrophy degree, statistically significant differences were observed to the submentual artery SPV and FDV, higher in non-atrophic group. The color doppler sonography was able to show changes in some arteries that supply the mandible of edentulous patients submitted to fracture treatment, with few correlations with the alveolar atrophy degree.

Acurácia de medidas lineares em softwares de planejamento de implantes sobre imagens de mandibulas atróficas obtidas por tomografias computadorizadas de feixe cônico com diferentes protocolos de aquisição / Accuracy of linear measurements in implant planning software on images of atrophic jaws obtained by cone beam computed tomography with different acquisition protocols

Barbosa, Jorge de Sá 13 June 2014 (has links)
The objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of implant planning software of images assessed from atrophic jaws using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) with different acquisition protocols. Ten total edentulous jaws received 8 markings in areas normally used for implant placement (4 in anterior and 4 posterior region) were used on orthodontic wires bonded to standardize regions. The jaws were scaneded CBCT 2 acquisition protocols , P1 (0.25 mm voxel) and P2 (0.125 mm voxel) , and analyzed by 3 implant planning software images: Xoran version 5.0 (XR) (Xoran Technologies ® Inc. , Ann Arbor , MI , USA) ; DentalSlice 2010 version (DS) (Bioparts ®, Brasilia, Brazil) and OsiriX 1.2 (OX) (Pixmeo ®, Geneva, Switzerland). Linear measurements were made in regions of higher end in height, width , and height of the crest of the ridge to the roof of the mandibular canal. Just about the demarcations jaws were sectioned for direct measurement by digital caliper. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) was used to calculate the intra-rater reliability (ICC = 0.997) and interxaminador (ICC = 0.995) obtaining excellent reproducibility. For accuracy analysis , the data were analyzed statistically by the \" t test , analyzed between two groups, and then the frequency of significance was analyzed by Fisher exact test. The images measured in Xoran software with 0.125 mm voxel got closer to the actual outcomes measures, as well as the total volume of all software images . The results showed differences between the Xoran and OsiriX software for different voxels , suggesting only 0.125 mm voxel for using OsiriX in atrophic jaws .
