Understanding the perception of residents Janauari front dynamics of tourism, as well as knowing the landscape of the place, and understand how residents perceive and represents, constitutes the research objectives. This work is important to think about the place beyond the perspectives of the physical elements, that is, but think of it in its complexity, where the physical and human elements are woven together in the same formation, which leads to the recovery of a way of life and a culture. We aimed to study Janauari as the place where men and women laid the foundation of his being, from experience, constituting the world lived the same. Besides reflecting the place from the existential relationship of its residents, this work has its importance, promote reflection about tourism who had not only viéis economistic this activity. This was understood by us as a phenomenon of human experience. Janauari, instead we have studied, belongs to the municipality of Iranduba, Amazonas state, about 25 km from Manaus, Janauari has based its economy tourism and crafts. The theoretical and methodological approach was phenomenological. Since this is a qualitative research was adopted as the methodological procedures oral history of life of the inhabitants and the development of Mind Maps. This study has helped understand a place that is not only rich in natural beauty, but mostly of men and women who built, rebuilt, recognize, identify and orient themselves as "people of the place." Through their experiences, represents the place where they underpinned their lives, they lived in a place, a place of human existence, called by all of Janauari. / A geografia humanista de bases fenomenológica existencial alicerça o aporte teórico adotado por nós na construção desse trabalho. Compreender a percepção dos moradores de Janauari frente à dinâmica do turismo, assim como conhecer a paisagem do lugar, e compreender como os moradores o percebe e o representa, constitui os objetivos da pesquisa. Este trabalho tem como importância o pensar o lugar para além das perspectivas dos elementos físicos, que o constitui, mas pensá-lo em sua complexidade, onde os elementos físicos e humanos são tecidos juntos na constituição do mesmo, o que encaminha para valorização de um modo de vida e de uma cultural. Este trabalho buscou estudar Janauari como o lugar onde homens e mulheres estabeleceram a base do seu ser, a partir das experiências, constituindo assim o mundo vivido dos mesmos. Além de refletir o lugar a partir da relação existencial de seus moradores, este trabalho tem em sua importância, promover uma reflexão a cerca do turismo que não tivesse apenas no viéis economicista dessa atividade. Este foi compreendido por nós como fenômeno das experiências humanas. Janauari, lugar por nós estudado, pertence ao município de Iranduba, estado do Amazonas, aproximadamente 25 km de Manaus, Janauari tem como base de sua economia o turismo e o artesanato. A abordagem teórico-metodológica foi a fenomenológica. Sendo esta uma pesquisa qualitativa, adotou-se como procedimentos metodológicos a história oral de vida dos habitantes e a elaboração de Mapas Mentais. Este trabalho possibilitou conhecer um lugar que não se constitui apenas de ricas belezas naturais, mas principalmente de homens e mulheres que construíram, reconstruíram, se reconhecem, se orientam e identificam enquanto gente do lugar . Por meio das suas experiências, representa o lugar onde eles alicerçaram suas vidas, um lugar por eles vivido, um lugar de existência humana, chamado por todos de Janauari.
