Very often when we are looking to buy new IT equipment in an online store, we face the problem that certain parts of our order are not compatible with others or sometimes one part needs additional components. From another point of view in this process, when an online store owner wants to manage the products available in stock, assign prices, set conditions to make an order, or manage customer information, he or she must often rely on information from different systems, physical files, or other sources. EpicConfigurator simplifies and solves the issues mentioned above. EpicConfigurator makes it easy for User Customers to configure computer products by making the process of product selection more straightforward. It can actively gather customer requirements and map them to a set of products and service options. These capabilities will guide users towards an optimal solution for their needs. EpicConfigurator also allows User Customers to keep track and edit saved product configurations. This system also includes a user administrator perspective that allows Store Owners to act as User Admins helping them to manage and load new products, set configuration rules for products and manage all users. Following open source technologies, EpicConfigurator is an application easy to enhance, expand and integrate with newer technologies. This is a configurator tool and does not provide any purchasing feature. To purchase, the configuration results should be provided to the local reseller or sales representative to get an official quote.

The goal of this thesis is to analyse communication possibilities between Java programming language and MATLAB enviroment and then to design and implementate a system using this communication. First of all this thesis focuses on overview and comparison of methods accesing MATLAB enviroment. In the next step there is a design of the system that mediates remote computations in MATLAB enviroment using the most effective method from previous step. Next chapter leaves a short description of Spring framework, which is used in implementation of application. The last step folows description of possibilities, instalation and configuration of the system.

This thesis is focused on a comparison of two frameworks, built on two different platforms. The first one is a PHP-based framework Nette and the second one is Spring, developed in Java. They both are popular choices of frameworks on their respective platforms. The first part of the thesis' target is to introduce the reader to elementary ideas related to frameworks - design pattern MVC. The second part describes the Nette framework, the third is devoted to Spring framework. The fourth part deals with an example application and it's realization in both Nette and Spring, and the fifth and last part compares both frameworks, evaluates them and closes the whole topic.

Performance of REST applications : Performance of REST applications in four different frameworks

More and more companies use a REST architecture to implement applications for an easy to use API. One important quality attribute of an application is the performance. To be able to understand how the application will perform it is important to know how the selected framework perform. By testing the performance of different frameworks it will become easier for software developers to choose the right framework to achieve their requirements and goals. At the time when this paper was written the research in this area was limited. This paper answered the question of which framework between Express, .NET Core, Spring and Flask that had the best performance. To be able to know how frameworks performed the author needed to measure them. One way of measuring performance is with response time from the server. The author used a controlled experiment to collect raw data from which the results was drawn. The author found out that Spring had the best overall performance between the different categories. By analysing the results the author also found out that performance differed a lot between the frameworks in some categories.

The topic of this master's thesis is a comparison of web Rapid Application Development frameworks Ruby on Rails and Spring Roo. The paper focuses on creating extensive overview of pros and cons of the subjected tools from the web developer's point of view to enhance his awareness about the subject, also to come up with new questions for further analysis or even convince him to use one of the frameworks in the real projects. Firstly, the paper contains a theoretical overview of the common conceptions for better understanding of the following parts and then specific principles for each of the selected frameworks. Secondly, there is a practical part. On one hand it demonstrates the implementation of a reference application using both platforms to illustrate the practical distinctions. On the other hand, it also contains an overall comparison based on the defined methodology. Altogether, it should form a comprehensive comparison of the selected frameworks for web developers interested in Ruby and Java platforms.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá API a ABI kompatibilitou Java knihoven. Jsou popsány typy kompatibility a analyzovány změny API, které vedou k zdrojové či binárni nekompatibilitě. Dále je provedena analýza existujících nástrojů, které provádějí zjišťování nekompatibility. Vhodný nástroj z předchozí analýzy je vybrán a rozšířen. Na základě rozšířeného nástroje je vytvořena serverová aplikace, která poskytuje informace o kompatibilitě sledovaných knihoven.
