The present work circulates around the problematic of contemporary social control, which takes the Public Policy of Social Assistance as potential updater dispositive of the Panoptism, and the Basic Social Protection, in a Social Assistance Referential Center CRAS -, as a technology of surveillance and life regulation. In this context, the researcher‟s experience in the period between 2008 and 2010, as a Psychologist in the CRAS in a small town, Alagoas‟state, will be put on analysis. For that matter, two narratives about the experiences was elaborated. One describes the Psychologist‟s paths taken in the State‟s machinery, presenting the ways in which experience constitutes itself as the research problematic. The other narrative puts into analysis three cases of attendance in the CRAS. They had been chosen from the contradictions between the Basic Social Protections‟ proposals imprinted as preventive, protective and proactive, and with its effective established practices. These practices are fundamentally related to the control and judicialization‟ of life. Since the CRAS abandoned the collective actions of socio-educative and productive insertions, it strengthened a direct relation with the municipal Tutelary Council. As attending cases of rights violation, the Council engendered a certain approximation with the judiciary system and so, started to execute practices of orientation and surveillance to the families involved in the cases. The discussions are based on the theoretical concepts from Michel Foucault, Jacques Donzelot e Robert Castel thoughts. These thinkers talk about questions related to the technologies of life control; to he social work as a dispositive of regulation; and the emerging social question‟ as a problem related to the socio-assistance field and the protections system of the State. Lastly, the research process and the impacts caused by the concerns of make-written‟ are discussed in this work and related to the ways of research production. / O presente texto circula em torno da problemática do controle social no contemporâneo, tomando a política pública de Assistência Social como um dispositivo potencialmente atualizador do panoptismo, e a Proteção Social Básica, executada em certo Centro de Referência da Assistência Social CRAS -, como uma tecnologia, por excelência, da vigilância e regulamentação da vida. Nesse contexto, coloca-se em análise a experiência da pesquisadora enquanto técnica de psicologia no CRAS de uma cidade do interior de Alagoas, no período de 2008 a 2010. Para tal, foram elaboradas duas narrativas. Uma, que descreve os caminhos percorridos pela psicóloga dentro da máquina estatal, apresentando o modo pelo qual essa experiência se constituiu como a problemática de pesquisa. E outra, que expõe três casos de atendimentos realizados nesse CRAS, escolhidos a partir do contrassenso identificado entre a proposta de Proteção Social Básica de cunho preventivo, protetivo e proativo que deveria ser executada e a efetivação das práticas que lá se estabeleceram. Práticas estas, fundamentalmente de controle e judicialização da vida. Visto que, ao deixar de realizar atividades coletivas de cunho socioeducativo e de inserção produtiva, tal CRAS acabou por fortalecer uma relação direta com o Conselho Tutelar do Município. Ao atender casos de violação de direitos, engendrou certa aproximação com o sistema judiciário e passou a executar práticas de orientação e vigilância junto às famílias envolvidas. Essa discussão é fundamentada conceitualmente a partir do pensamento de Michel Foucault, Jacques Donzelot e Robert Castel. Pensadores que tratam de questões relacionadas às tecnologias de controle sobre a vida, ao trabalho social como dispositivo de regulação e à emergência da questão social como um problema relacionado ao campo socioassistencial e ao sistema de proteções do Estado. Por fim, fala-se do processo de pesquisa e do impacto causado pela preocupação com o fazer-escrita no modo de produzir a pesquisa.
