Hemautomation : Automatiska persienner för nedkylning

Olovsson, Jens January 2018 (has links)
Hur mycket värme strålar in genom fönster? / How much heat radiates in through windows? It depends on their direction and the size of them. Two methods to prevent a temperature increase are compared in this report. The first method is by removing the heat with a heat pump, which is compared to the second method that involves automatic blinds. The cost to run the heat pump to remove the heat is calculated in MATLAB. The control of the blinds in this case is with KNX. The communication is done through a bus. ETS5 was used to program the blinds. The calculations assume that the size of the southern windows are 8 m², the east-facing windows are 5 m², and the west-facing windows are 4 m². The added heat is assumed to be 10 000 kWh throughout the year. The calculations does not take outside temperature into account. Data for the amount of sunshine is taken from SMHI. With the help of this information the cost of cooling the radiated heat is calculated to 460 swedish crowns per year. The cost of buying the heat pump is 20 350 swedish crowns. One blind costs 10 000 swedish crowns to buy. The author recommends the heat pump to cool the building in this case.

Analyse de la robustesse et des améliorations potentielles du protocole RadioFréquences Sub-GHz KNX utilisé pour l’IoT domotique / Radiofrequency robustness and improvements analysis of the sub-GHz standard KNX used for IoT dedicated to Home & Building Automation

Oudji, Salma 12 December 2016 (has links)
This thesis addresses the performance of the KNX-RF protocol used for home automation applications in terms of radiofrequency robustness in a multi-protocol environment that is potentially subject to interferences. In this work, the aim is to assess the interference problems encountered by KNX-RF using simulation models that would increase its RF reliability. Thus, a first model was developed on MATLAB / Simulink and allowed to investigate the performance and limitations of this protocol at its physical layer in an interference scenario occurring inside a multiprotocol home and building automation box/gateway. These simulations were followed by field experimental tests in an indoor environment (house) to verify the results. A second model was developed to evaluate the MAC layer mechanisms of KNX-RF through the discrete event simulator OMNeT ++/Mixim. This model includes all the mechanisms of channel access and frequency agility specified by KNX-RF standard. A frame collision scenario was simulated and several improvement proposals are discussed in this manuscript. The developed models can be used to analyze and predict in advance phase the behavior of KNX-RF in a radio-constrained environment.

Étude et mise en oeuvre d'une plateforme hybride basée sur du sans fil pour l'efficience énergétique et le contrôle d'accès dans le train / Study and implementation of hybrid platform based on wireless network for energy efficiency and access control in the train

Biaou, Ulrich 11 December 2017 (has links)
The need of new services in railway trains (services for metering, energy efficiency, the comfort and safety of users etc.) may eventually saturate the wired communication systems installed since twenty years ago years. The several advantages of wireless sensor networks (easy deployment, ability to adapt on different environments and low energy consumption) offer many possibilities for energy management systems. The aim of this thesis is to study and implement a wireless network sensors inside trains for energy efficiency. Thus, some communication protocols dedicated to energy management were presented and then a comparative study of the various wireless communication networks carried out. This comparative study shows that the ZigBee network is the most suitable for the platform. The proposed hybrid architecture allows the use of the existing IP network as the backbone of all ZigBee networks. In order to take into account the effect of the railway environment in the planning and deployment of the network, a study of the propagation channel was carried out, based on measurements realized in a subway and a RER car. The impact of the coexistence between ZigBee and WiFi and of the human presence on wireless communication have been demonstrated. The prototype of a platform based on the ZigBee network, allows data collection, informations traitement and monitoring, was carried out.
