The thesis deals with social responsibility and the application of ethical principles in public administration. Above all, i tis the adherence to ethical principles in conjunction with the Code of Ethics of the Czech Telecommunication Office in Hradec Kralove. The thesis describes the activities of the administrative body of social responsibility and focuses on the ethical behavior of staff towards the citizens who are the users of government services. In the theoretical section briefly describes the important concepts related to ethics, social responsibility and public administration organizations. Attention is also paid to human resources and conditions of the officials in the civil service. The second part is characterized the region in which there is an investigation. In the questionnaire survey among office employees and its clients they are discovered results that highlight the behavior of public officials to the public as part of the issue. The conclusion summarizes the results obtained and reviewed the objectives of the thesis. Acquired knowledge is used for the design of specific recommendations, which should lead to a more efficient behavior of civil servants to the public. In my work I came to the conclusion that most of the office staff are aware of socially responsible behavior. The results made among officials, it was found that officials comply with the set rules of ethical behavior towards our employees and citizens. Survey among citizens was found that they provide officials with information and deal with them with the willingness and helpfulness.

The thesis is practically oriented and leading to design and implementation of the Code of Ethics and ethical policy into the organization. In the theoretical section the concepts of human resource management and ethics are explained. The practical part consists of a survey about the ethic behavior in the organization and of the results of a survey. Based on the results there is a concept of Code of Ethics for the surveyed organization.

This thesis deals with relation between audit and ethics. First part describes the role of ethics in society and demonstrates specifics of audit profession. Second part deals with ethical codes in audit. The output of this section is comparison of ethical rules in the Czech Republic and in the USA. The last part shows on the Satyam case consequences of auditors ethics violation.

This written work deals with the meaning of the terms usury and interest over the course of time from the anthropological-historical point of view given by the philosophical and theological authorities and painters of the time. The work reflects the socio-ethical interpretation of moral dilemmas associated with usury in today's civic-economic practice, especially in the context of the Czech Republic. In the introductory section, the concept of usury is defined. On the basis of legal science, the principles governing the legal area in the decision-making and the definition of usurer behaviour in criminal and private law relations are highlighted. For the proper understanding of the issue are illuminated the meanings of terms such as debt, bond, compound and simple interest, annual average cost rate. The second part of the work is devoted to usury in selected biblical passages of the Old and New Testament. In the context of the comparison, a modest comparative insight into Islam is given in relation to usury (ribá), and some morally controversial banking transactions under sharia Islamic law are introduced. The aim of the master’s thesis is to analyse the corporate governance in the Cyrrus, a. s. In the first part of the thesis, particular approaches to corporate governance including an approach used in trading companies in the Czech Republic are appointed. Further, in the practical part, theoretical knowledge to a particular company is applied. With the help of the economic analysis and the analysis of compliance with the Code of Corporate Governance Principles, based on the OECD 2004, the work will evaluate the effectiveness of governance in the particular company and propose recommendations that would lead to an improvement of the situation.

The thesis is focused on protecting consumers and tour operators and travel agencies. The basic aim is to analyze consumer awareness of their rights and obligations arising from the travel contract and general terms and conditions. A sub-goal is to determine the perception of ITQ Code (International Travel Quality), both by consumer and by the tour operator. For the analysis was selected questionnaire survey. The results of the investigation pointed to the fact that consumers are not satisfied with the failure of contractual obligations and are determined to pursue their legal rights. On the other hand, many do not read or terms and conditions. Questions focused on the ITQ Code, which specifies exactly complaints procedure and compensation system, revealed that consumers would welcome such a product and it take into account the selection of a tour operator, but more than half of this Code, still heard.

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na etiku a etické chování firem v České republice. Soustředí se především na vymezení a zmapování důležitých pojmů v dnešním podnikatelském prostředí jako je podnikatelská etika a společenská odpovědnost firem. Tato práce má za cíl nastínit a zhodnotit metody a nástroje používané při implementaci etického chování do podnikání. Snaží se přesvědčit firmy, které se pohybují v českém podnikatelském prostředí, aby přijaly a aktivně používaly etické kodexy, kterými by se mohli manažeři a zaměstnanci firmy řídit.

The work deals with ethics in the auditing profession and its abuses. It focuses in particular on the legal regulation of ethics in the external and internal audit, in detail deals with the ethical code in both auditing professions. Part of the thesis deals with fraud in the audit and are given specific cases of violation of ethics in practice and in the end work is given Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which was created in response to the first major scandals associated with the auditing firms.

Our health is what we value most. Medicine as a scientific branch has made a great step forward in the last decades. Due to this fact, the demographical structure of inhabitants changed significantly. People reach higher age, we are able to treat diseases, which used to cause death. Nevertheless, we are not anymore in a phase, when financial costs equal treatment needed for all people in Czech Republic. Therefore, the topic Ethics in healthcare is an actual one. The aim of this thesis is the description and following analysis of actual problems in Czech healthcare. There are stated the main problems in Czech healthcare, where the relationship between ethics and economics is mostly visible. The proposal for improving the actual situation, is to extend the Ethical code of Czech Medical Chamber, as the document, which brings the main ethical standards in healthcare. The next proposal for improving the actual situation in Czech healthcare, is to make new ethical codes for different medical specialties. It is also advised to place the Ethical code of Czech Medical Chamber on visible places. The used method is compilation of literature and interviews with professionals and medics for analytical approaches. In this thesis, data from Czech Institution for Health Information and Statistics are used. There are also used articles form healthcare magazines and from general periodicals.
