No. of bitstreams: 1 467547 - Texto Completo.pdf: 751403 bytes, checksum: b10398fee2fc1ece7d20cb2d625a1515 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2015-01-09 / This dissertation aims to extend the concept proposed by Marie-Claude Lambotte in which melancholy holds its own discourse, an ideia presented in Le discours m?lancolique (1999), and it attempts to apply this concept in literature. The objective is to find and highlight the elements of melancholy in the literary language, in this case, using as analysis corpus the work The Fugitive by Marcel Proust. Productions in first person discourses, as in the case of the narrative studied in this research, emphasize the evaluation of the forms and the manners of manifestation of emotions in literature. The objective is to investigate the existence of a fictional discourse noticeably dominated by emotional elements, focusing on the statements and on the narrative sequences in order to reveal their own character in the manifestation of the melancholic narrator, in a language of melancholy, and in a melancholy aesthetics by Marcel Proust. Within the framework of the theory of literature, philosophy and anthropology, the focus is to build an necessary interface, in contemporaneity, to study this emotion in a work of literature.

However, this universe is composed from elements that cause discomfort, not just pragmatic, but theoretical. This dissertation aims to enter this obscure and marginal field. So, considering the eroticism as part of the text s structure and also a representation of a social and individual phenomenon, it was analyzed the Erotica of Ana?s Nin. For this, the approach was based on the philosophical conception of Bataille, with an intersection of the concepts of body (Le Breton) and sexuality (Foucault). After, it was made a brief introduction of the eroticism in literature, in order to legitimize and consolidate the erotic literary tradition, in which is inserted the writer Ana?s Nin. Finally, the literary corpus is compound by tales of the collections Delta of Venus and Little birds, and it was analyzed from the theoretical framework developed with the thinkers above cited.

Thus, a theoretical and literary pathway was mandatory. French Symbolism was the analytical starting point of this study, especially in the figures of Baudelaire, Rimbaud and Mallarm?. This last one, taken as the apex of the playful and experimental poetry of his time, was the greatest pillar of this approach. In addition, a playful pathway was also required, blending concepts and theories sourced from the game field. This search yet showcased the investigation of compelling issues such as hypertextuality, co-authorship and rewriting.
