Laboratorní přípravek s analogovou výpočetní jednotkou AD538 / Laboratory device with analog computational unit AD538

Hruboš, Zdeněk January 2009 (has links)
An analog multiplier are circuits, that are realized multiplication of two analog signals. They can be made by suitable connection (according to function) discreet parts. Nowadays there are integrated circuits in advance function, whose internal structure is made by complex of circuits with operating ampfliers and other circuits. These circuits have a very high accuracy of arithmetic operation which is mostly better than 1%. The analog multiplier are used in situation, when we need realize multiplication, division, exponentation, square root extraction and logarithmic calculation of analog signals. In the next are used in circuits for multiplication of frequency, shifting of frequency, amplitude modulation, detection phase angel of two signals with the same frequency, etc. The AD538 is a monolithic real-time computational circuit that provides precision analog multiplication, division and exponentiation. The combination of low input and output offset voltages and excellent linearity results in accurate computation over an unusually wide input dynamic range.

The ethnobotanical investigation of the Mapulana of Ehlanzeni District Municipality, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa

Mashile, Shalom Pabalelo 20 September 2019 (has links)
PhD (Botany) / Department of Botany / Ethnobotanical information still needs documentation as this will assist in the preservation of information for future generation. It becomes most important, particularly when considering the neglected ethnic subgroups. From fourteen villages in the Ehlanzeni district; elders, community adults and youth were selected by means of snow balling technique and a semi-structured questionnaire was used to interview them. Data was analysed by calculating the use value of selected plant species on common ailments. Hundred and forty-eight plants were observed as being utilized by Mapulana as food (fruits and African leafy vegetables), fuelwood, medicine and the making of utensils. The majority of the recorded plant species (54%) were native while 46% were naturalized. The majority of plants (37%) were utilized as medicine only, while food contributed only 19 percent usage, followed by medicine (13%), fuelwood (4%) and utensils (1%). A total of hundred and six plant species were identified as medicine treating 50 different ailments. Roots and leaves were the highly preferred plant and herb parts collected. The results showed that Sclerocarya birrea subsp. caffra (use value of 0.86) was reported as being used in four different ways; seconded by Cucurbita maxima (use value of 0.58) with two different uses. Numerous medicinal uses were observed from Aloe zebrina (use value 0.38) and Aloe marlothii (use value 0.29). Ailments with Informant Consensus Factor (ICF) were gonorrhea (1.80), stomach cleansing (1.40), chicken and cow diseases (1.19), bad luck (0.88), flu (0.84), and diarrhea (0.80). There were, in addition, many ailments with low ICF known by the elders and few community adults proving that the elderly are custodians of indigenous knowledge. Twenty-six line transects of 100m x 10m in size were constructed in determining the population structure of Peltophorum africanum Sond. in Bolla-Tau village. A total of 256 individuals were recorded from the transects. Data was analyzed using IBM Statistical Product and Service solutions (SPSS) statistics version 25 and Microsoft Excel 2013 version. The population structure of P. africanum was found to be bell-shaped. Logarithmic analysis, along with generalized log analysis depicts, that there was significance difference between the plant height and stem circumference. Resprouts of P. africanum individuals were only 18% and a majority of individuals (82%) were harvested. The study revealed that 43.84% of P. africanum individuals had traces of crown damage, as compared to individuals with healthy crowns (35.9%). The rest of the individuals had either light or moderate crown-health status. / NRF

Relaxivita magnetických nanočástic oxidů železa obsahujících diamagnetické kationty / Relaxivity of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles containing diamagnetic cations

Kubíčková, Lenka January 2017 (has links)
Magnetic nanoparticles have received extensive attention in the biomedical research, e.g. as prospective contrast agents for T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging. The ability of a contrast agent to enhance the relaxation rate of 1 H in its vicinity is quantified by relaxivity. The main aim of this thesis is to evaluate the transversal re- laxivity of ε-Fe2−x Alx O3 nanoparticles coated with amorphous silica or citrate - its dependence on external magnetic field, temperature and thickness of silica coating - by means of nuclear magnetic resonance. The aluminium content x = 0.23(1) was determined from XRF, the material was further characterised by XRPD, Möss- bauer spectroscopy, DLS, TEM and magnetic measurements. The size of magnetic cores was ∼ 21 nm, the thickness of silica coating ∼ 6,10,17 and 21 nm. Magne- tization of the ε-Fe2−x Alx O3 nanoparticles increased by ∼ 30 % when compared to ε-Fe2O3. The saturating dependence of relaxivity on external magnetic field and on the linear decrease with increase of thickness of silica coating contravene the theo- retical model of motional averaging regime (MAR); nevertheless, the temperature dependence acquired in 0.47 T and 11.75 T may be explained by MAR. In compari- son to ε-Fe2O3 nanoparticles, the relaxivity of examined samples was higher for par-...

Aproximace statických modulů hornin z dynamických modulů stanovených akustickou karotáží pomocí T-matrix modelu / Approximation of static moduli of rocks from dynamic moduli determined by sonic well logging using T-matrix model

Chalupa, František January 2019 (has links)
(EN) Thesis deals with an approximation of static moduli in wells from dynamic moduli determined by acoustic well logging using T-matrix model. Proposed approach makes possible to determine moduli values, which are close to values of static moduli, which would be determined by loading tests. This approach is based on an idea, that an intact rock with sufficiently high compressional strength sc and sufficiently high value of static Young's modulus Es, manifests more or less linear elastic behaviour. In such case, the values of static and dynamic moduli are identical. This fact has been experimentally verified for rocks with values of sc and Es in order of higher tens of MPa and GPa respectively. In case of a rock damage presence in such rock, it's behaviour becomes nonlinearly elastic. The amount of nonlinearity is proportional to increasing amount of rock damage. This results in the difference between values of static and dynamic moduli. T-matrix model is used to quantify this difference. This model is based on an anisotropic rock matrix with ellipsoidal inclusions. These inclusions can affect each other. The result of this model calculation is a group of values of elastic constants, which we call effective moduli. These effective moduli include the effect of porosity in the rock as well and they...

Risk contribution and its application in asset and risk management for life insurance / Riskbidrag och dess användning i kapital- och riskförvaltning för livförsäkringsbolag

Sundin, Jesper January 2016 (has links)
In risk management one important aspect is the allocation of total portfolio risk into its components. This can be done by measuring each components' risk contribution relative to the total risk, taking into account the covariance between components. The measurement procedure is straightforward under assumptions of elliptical distributions but not under the commonly used multivariate log-normal distributions. Two portfolio strategies are considered, the "buy and hold" and the "constant mix" strategy. The profits and losses of the components of a generic portfolio strategy are defined in order to enable a proper definition of risk contribution for the constant mix strategy. Then kernel estimation of risk contribution is performed for both portfolio strategies using Monte Carlo simulation. Further, applications for asset and risk management with risk contributions are discussed in the context of life insurance.
