Pařízková, Kateřina January 2012 (has links)
To the coronations which took place in Pre-White time, not enough attention has been paid yet. As it appears, enough accounts were preserved not only in contemporary prints but also in manuscript sources - in the works of chroniclers, in memories of persons present and above all in official and private correspondence. In addition to writen sources also material sorces and great part of iconographic sources have been preserved. The elaboration and evaluation of the sources to one of them, to the coronation of Matthias of Habsburg in Prague on May 23rd 1611, is a subject of the first half of this thesis. The coronation in the life of souvereign is a ceremony that generally certificates his leading position in the country. This ceremony customary is executed in accordance to the prede- terminated order. In case of the lands of Bohemian crown binding form has been set by coronation order of Bohemian kings Ordo ad coronandum Regem Bohemorum, prepared by Charles IV. The main core of this order was maintained also by Matthias coronation. His coronation in the cathedrale of Saint Vitus was a festive ceremony strongly influenced by then political situation. It placed under the strong protection of troops, excluding the general public, mostly ordinary people. Despite of it the ceromony was performed with...

And the eyewitness's testimonies are illustrating all the welcoming ceremony, the desinfection, tattoo and dormitory allocation. In my thesis, I would like to describe the Terezin inmates' biannual stay in family camp B IIb, tragical death of 3 792 of them at night of 8 to 9 March 1944, seeking to recreate the Dr. Mengele's list of medical personnel and twins. Vítková, Romana January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this work is to describe czech-german relationship in theneibourhood of the town Dačice with a view to villages Volfířov and Lipolec during the first part of twentieth century. These two villages were chosen for their different position after occupation of the borderland by Germany in 1938. Lipolec together with Slavonic's district were, after the event called Mnichov contract, taken by Germany but Volfířov wasn't. These villages, in spite of being distant just a few kilometres, passed through very different procession regarding of nationalities. Volfirov was always czech village and there did not exist not even a minority of Germans. On the contrary in Lipolec there was a majority of inhabitans of german's nationality, after 1918 with a minority of Czechs. Interesting point is the postwar situation in Lipolec where took place the wilde transfer of Germans. The subject of this work is to show czech-german relationship in the district and its changes in the named period and put them into the world context. Key words czech-german relationship, borderland, occupation, war, sudeten Germans, Proctectorate of Bohemia and Moravia

Roudničtí augustiniáni - knihovna a dílo / The Augustinian Canons of Roudnice: Their Library and Writings

Nováková, Adéla January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the library of Augustinan canons in Roudnice nad Labem (Raudnitz in German) and assess its place in late medieval culture in Bohemia. The first chapter surveys the history of the monastery. It was founded by the bishop of Prague, Jan IV. from Dražice, in 1333. The monastery flourished and was supported by the highest ecclesiastical officials, but it was destroyed in 1421 during the Hussite wars; the canons escaped to Germany (Erfurt) and to Poland (Wroclaw, Żagań/Sagan). There is substantial evidence on the history of the monastery in Roudnice; several important documents of the monastery have survived, especially monastic statutes, the necrologium of the monastery and also its cartulary. Then the monastic library is explored. In addition to the manuscripts themselves, there are notes on the books in the necrologium of the monastery and several other indirect sources. Unfortunately it is impossible to reconstruct the entire content of the library of the Augustian canons in Roudnice; nevertheless, over one hundred manuscripts that used to be kept in the library have been identified. These manuscripts are today deposited mainly in the Library of the National Museum and in the National Library of the Czech Republic in Prague. The library of the monastery...

Nástup Červenobílých a Vlajka v letech 1939-1940 / Nástup červenobílých a Vlajka in the period from 1939 to 1940

Otcovská, Karolina January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on two periodicals that were published simultaneously during 1939-1940, i.e. in the initial period of the so-called Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Both periodicals presented themselves as press platforms of the sympathizers of fascist groups. One of the periodicals related to the pre-war fascist group Červenobílí and the other referred to a fascist movement called Vlajka. Despite seemingly similar orientations, the magazines got themselves into a dispute that resulted in an extensive press campaign. The aim of my thesis is the detailed analysis of this campaign. Most of the people concentrated around Nástup Červenobílých magazine were active in the committee of Národní souručenství (the only legal Czech political organization of that time), or in its satellite institutions. Nástup Červenobílých thus acted loyally towards Národní souručenství and was financed by its leading officials. Vlajka magazine, on the contrary, was against Národní souručenství from the beginning, which was reflected in the attacks on Nástup Červenobílých. The press campaign was led on the level of personal insults and the main protagonists were Zdeněk Zástěra, publisher of Nástup Červenobílých, and Jan Rys with Josef Burda on the other side, both Vlajka officials. Both magazines used various...
