Hospodářské dvory ve středověkých Čechách a na Moravě. Sídelní kontext a ekonomický potenciál. / Farmyards in medieval Bohemia and Moravia. The context of settlement and its economic potential.

Rak, Ondřej January 2016 (has links)
1 Abstract In this work I deal with farmyards 13th-15th century, which formed an integral part of the medieval landscape. The main attention is paid to settlement-historical context and economic potential. Attention was also focused on the methods used, archaeological surveys and surface exploration. Nobility farmyards are divided into several types, according to the economic strategy and in material form. Their form depended on the owner, the monasteries were built large courtyards and nobility smaller. The main purpose of these farmyards was to provide the economic base of the nobility. There are also farmyards that served to financial income. The most common owners were a nobility and church institutions. Mostly they were situated to rural settlemet, where they were always dominant feature. Because this is not very frequent theme in Czech archeology, the aim of this work was also to summarize current knowledge. Given the breadth of the topic, I tried to include as much information, on the other hand, I had to approach selected topics in general. Work should, however, include the most important knowledge on this topic.

Mince 9. a 10. století v archeologických nálezech z českých zemí a jejich přínos pro počátky našich dějin / Coins of the 9th and 10th centuries in archaeological discoveries from the Czech lands and their contribution to the beginning phase of the Czech history

Polanský, Luboš January 2019 (has links)
Coins of the 9th and 10th centuries in archaeological discoveries from the Czech lands and their contribution to the beginning phase of the Czech history. The dissertation is focused on coins of the 9th and 10th centuries found on the territory of the Czech lands. Their archaeological context and detailed numismatic description bring new data, which can help to complete and precise our knowledge of the early medieval phase of the Czech history. Number of coins dating to the period before production of the first issues in the Czech lands (i.e. the coins of the 9th century and the first half of the 10th century) discovered on the mentioned territory increased. Their chronology is the following: the Old- Bohemian phase, the Old-Moravian phase and the Early Přemyslid phase, which is described in the first chapter of the dissertation - Coin finds before the beginning of the coinage in the territory of the Czech lands. The text brings results pointing to different monetary development of Bohemia and Moravia of that period. The new finds indicate a specific role of Bohemia in relationship with the Bavarian centre of the Frankish Empire. This situation culminates in production of the first coins in the Czech lands during the first half of the 960s. The second chapter of the dissertation - Beginning of the coinage...

Janovská, Viktorie January 2020 (has links)
This master's thesis summarizes the results of analytical surface collections and large-scale geophysical survey of early medieval settlement Havraň, cadastral municipality Vestec nad Mrlinou, district Nymburk. The Mrlina river basin was chosen as a model region, as it is an area of continuous archaeological interest with a complete record of High Middle Ages settlement. Havraň seems to be a site with the greatest study potential, the site is also a historically significant place. According to written sources, the settlement Havraň was an administrative centre of a lower order in the Early Middle Ages. There was a motte and bailey with a farmyard and several homesteads in the High Middle Ages. The site was newly researched using analytical surface collections and large-scale geophysical surveys. The aim of non-destructive archaeological research was primarily to understand the form and disposition of early medieval settlement and its changes in the High Middle Ages. A substantial part of the work is the analysis of the ceramic assemblage from the surface collections, evaluation the data in GIS, and correlation with the results of the geophysical survey. During the interpretation of the results, the graduate focused mainly on the basic idea of (1) the chronology of settlement, (2) the spatial extent...

Mezi tradicí a modernitou: město v průmyslovém věku. Severočeská architektura v první polovině 20. století / Between tradition and modernity: City in the industrial age. North Bohemian architecture in the first half of the 20th century

Zeman, Jaroslav January 2017 (has links)
From the mid-nineteenth century the North Bohemian industrial area, populated mostly by Germans, experienced an unprecedented urban and demographic growth. The onset of the industrial revolution meant a major breaking point, in particular because the following periods shaped it most notably. The characteristic trait of the cities is a precipitous urban development with building boom. Thereby an impressive scrum of mutually coexisting industrial complexes, palatial villas, spectacular public buildings, generous garden districts and small town housing projects originated, creating the peculiar local genius loci. The border areas have always been a busy crossroads of cultures, histories and ideologies, in which Czechs, Germans and Jews mingled and interacted with each other, and thus they reflect the complex ethnic relations in the territory of today's Czech Republic. The Thesis focuses on the architecture of Czech Germans which formed the natural counterpart to the architecture of the Czech majority. The aim is to set this "second stream" of culture into a wider Central European context and find and define the specifics of the buildings production of Czech Germans. For this purpose, the trio of industrial agglomerations Usti nad Labem, Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou was chosen, which are also compared...
