Estudo e implementação de uma luminária de iluminação pública à base de LEDs / Study and implementation of a LED public lighting luminaire

Maggi, Tiago 18 February 2013 (has links)
This work presents a study for the design and implementation of a LED Street light Luminaire. It shows the necessary characteristics for the proposed fixture replace the traditional models with High Pressure Sodium lamps (HPS), which are commonly used in Brazil. For this, it has been done a study and implementation of a LED fixture prototype that can replace a conventional fixture, keeping the photometric characteristics required by Brazilian standards. With this, is possible a significant reduction in the electrical power consumption by exploring the LED features such as high energy efficiency, long life, low luminous flux depreciation during the life and facility for light direction control. Here is presented an analysis of some traditional HPS lamps models to allow comparison of results of the prototype proposed. In this study is verified that the proposed LED fixture can reach similar levels of illuminance on the road that HPS modes, however using almost 50% of electric power.

Framtagning av en belysningsarmatur anpassad för badrumsmiljö / Development of a lighting luminaire adapted for bathroom environment

Jungström, Pierre January 2016 (has links)
Within the lighting industry, major focus on rules and restrictions must be followed when developing luminaires. To be able to place a lighting luminaire in a wet room certain requirements must be fulfilled. These requirements are something that must be taken into account and be followed early in the product development process. The study was conducted in collaboration with the company Bsweden Belysningsbolaget AB (Bsweden). Bsweden expressed a desire to receive one or more proposals for products that would expand or strengthen their product variety. The product would be included in the segment “lighting luminaries that can withstand water and are suitable for bathrooms”. The purpose of this study was therefore to develop a proposal of a lighting luminaire that could withstand water and that are suitable for bathrooms. The methods used were literature study, case study, competitor analysis and a design process. Literature study was carried out in the following areas; lighting theory, light sources, choice of material, electrical safety and theory about the design process. The case study consisted of document study and interviews with Bsweden and with the company Intertek Semko AB. A competitor analysis of Bsweden’s nearest competitors was also conducted. All the gathered information was then used during the design process where a design requirement specification and functional analysis was created. These were used as a guideline during the design process and to develop the result of the study. The result contains of a product proposal consisting a stripped and timeless lighting luminaire, adapted for bathrooms. The product proposal meets Bswedens’ requirements and the requirements in the design specification and the functional analysis; therefore the purpose of the study is fulfilled. Because of the existing conditions, the proposed product could not be tested in reality. If a prototype of the product would been manufactured and sent to testing, the requirements for the product could be tested and the results could therefore become more reliable.

”ÄNTLIGEN!”- En lysrörsarmatur för det egna hemmet / ”FINALLY!”-A fluorescent fixture for the private home.”FINALLY!”-A fluorescent fixture for the private home.

Lindahl, Anton, Sandelin, Samuel January 2010 (has links)
The aim of our study is to ascertain whether a hanging suspension fluorescentlamp for a private home environment is going to be attractive for a largeaudience. We want to open up for new uses of fluorescent lamps as lightsources. The main approach in this work is how to design a fixture with fluorescentlamps as a light source that will meet the requirements and requests of thehome environment could look like. At the same time we want to make a newimpression of how a fluorescent light source.Primarily we used a quantitative method, but this was rejected after a pilotstudy. Instead we used a qualitatively based method in the sense that weconducted a group interview as well as individual interviews.Based on data from the interviews and our preliminary work a prototype wasbuilt. This prototype is a fluorescent fixture equipped with 2x14W T5fluorescent lamps, dimmed separately. The shape can be described as a soft, organic elongated oval. The luminary screen is made of rice paper, which givesa soft and pleasant light transmission. Access to the interior and electronics isprovided via the open ends of the screen, which is concealed by two endcapsules in plastic. The luminary is a hanging suspension via two wires fromthe ceiling, down to a metal bracket with the same curvature as the luminaryscreen. This metal bracket is then attached to the fixture with wires attached tothe interior, which in turn holds the screen. Our main conclusion is that you can create a very attractive light fitting for theprivate home market. In addition, we concluded that in order to achievesufficient data in a quantitative based study you need more time than what ispermitted within the timeframe of our work. We believe more in the idea offirst develop a good and functional prototype and then ask a panel ofprospective customers what they think about it. Their response will thereafterbe worked in to the final product.KeywordsFluorescent Luminary, fluorescent lamps, fluorescent lamps and luminaries, market, rice paper, dimmableAbstractThe aim of our study is to ascertain whether a hanging suspension fluorescentlamp for a private home environment is going to be attractive for a largeaudience.
