Piachonkina, Yana 23 January 2020 (has links)
This thesis studies the orchestral work of Enrique Iturriaga Romero (1918), one of the great Peruvian composers of the 50’s Generation. The main objective of this research is to discover and explore the composer's musical aesthetics through the dialectical analysis of his work complemented with the tripartite semiological model of Molino-Nattiez. The analysis manages to identify the characteristics of Iturriaga's musical language such as diatonicism, extended tonality and the frequent presence of the characteristic elements of Peruvian popular and traditional music.
