Avaliação cinemática e dinâmica da transferência metálica na soldagem mig/mag / Dynamic and cinematic evaluation of MIG/MAG metal transfer

Rodrigues, Carlos Eduardo Aguiar Lima 19 October 2007 (has links)
Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / The goal of this work is to improve the knowledge of the metal transfer in MIG/MAG welding and supply data to improve the elaboration of its models. In this intention, experiments were accomplished with steel (inverse polarity; Ar+5%O2 shield gas) and aluminum (inverse polarity, Ar shield gas) electrodes, with steel electrode and several shield gases (inverse polarity, Ar+5%O2+ of 0 to 25%He shield gases) and experiments with steel electrode in direct polarity (Ar+5%O2 shield gas). The flat position welds were filmed by a high-speed video camera using the shadowgraph technique. Kinematics and dynamics characteristics of metal transfers in those experiments were obtained experimentally (droplets arrival speed in the weld pool, in flight droplets average acceleration, effective quantity of movement), and the weld geometry, and compared whenever possible with experimental and numeric results available in literature. The results showed that the weld current influences the kinematics and dynamics characteristics of the drops in all of studied conditions, that the arc length influences the cinematic characteristics and dynamics in the welds with steel and aluminum electrodes, and in the steel welds with different shield gasses; that the shield gas doesn't exercise significant influence in the appraised characteristics, and that the current polarity only affects the cinematic characteristics and dynamics in globular transfer mode. Additionally, the welding current affects the weld penetration despite the use of approximately the same heat input, the arc length affect the steel and aluminum weld penetration and with different shield gasses, the shield gas didn't exercise influences in the values of the penetration but it altered the form of the weld and the current polarity didn't exercise influences the weld penetration, but just in width and reinforcement, being more slender the weld bead in direct polarity.

Contribution à l’étude du soudage MIG-MAG sous mélanges Ar-CO₂-O₂ : diagnostics physiques et physico-chimiques du milieu / Contribution to the study of the MIG-MAG welding under mixture Ar-CO₂-O₂ : physical and physico-chemical diagnostics

Castillon, Quentin 12 October 2016 (has links)
The arc welding with consumable wire is a process widely used, but understanding the mechanisms governing its operation still has some questions given its complexity. The composition of the shielding gas has a very strong influence on the process: the addition of active gas changes, for example, the current necessary for the transition between the different metal transfers and is responsible for the appearance of an iron oxide (gangue) at the end of the consumable wire. To carry out the study of MIG-MAG welding under mixtures Ar-CO₂-O₂, several studies are performed to characterize and understand the physical and chemical phenomena that govern the MIG-MAG welding to optimize the process. A spectroscopic diagnosis, with the establishment of an acquisition system consisting of two spectrometers to record simultaneously the iron and argon spectral lines, allows to estimate the radial distributions of temperature and electron density in the plasma column. A study by rapid cinematography is also conducted to try to estimate the formation and flow of the iron oxide layer appearing in globular regime on the surface of the anode consumable. And finally, micrographic analyzes of the electrodes are made to study the influence of chemical and structural changes on the general behavior of the process for different types of parameters used. The consequences of a shielding gas change are also apprehended: Ar-CO₂, Ar-O₂ and Ar-CO₂-O₂. It turns out that the electron temperature of the arc changes in the presence of oxygen in the shielding gas and the change of the active gas modifies the type of iron oxide formed.

Zvýšení efektivity při svařování pecních konstrukcí / The effectiveness of welding on furnace structures.

Rousová, Michaela January 2010 (has links)
This diploma thesis is resolving all the possibilities of enhancing the efficiency of furnace structures welding. Small batch production does not offer many possibilities for implementing mechanization or automation. On the other hand, when using a big batch production, efficiency can be enhanced by means of a robotic workstation. When the production batch is big enough, we will see a costs save after a short time, mainly in labor costs. This means the return of investments will be in short time period. In the LAC company there are three types of products made. At laboratory furnaces the efficiency can be enhance by using fixtures. At other standard and atypical furnaces is very difficult to design fixtures or positioners because of their different sizes. Big complication can be also a company location on second floor. The most suitable product regarding to welding efficiency enhancement is big batch production of heaters. For this type the welding time can be shortened by means of a robotic workstation.
