This research discloses lhat lhe corporalion, military policy of lhe Slate of Amazon, hasn't a cullure of lhe prevention of lhe crisis and doesn't find inslrumenls to deal with the crisis in a scienlific and lechnique way, preventing, informing and giving solutions to lhe delicale phenomena of lhe democratic and multipluralisla society where we live. / Este trabalho de pesquisa trata do Gerenciamento de Crise adotado pela Polícia Militar do Estado do Amazonas - PMAM. A abordagem acadêmica foi verificar se a corporação adota contramedidas no sentido de mitigar os efeitos nocivos dos fenômenos de crise a favor de sua imagem e credibilidade, baseado nos estudos sobre a formulação de um Plano de contingência. Os estudos menos mencionados vão ao encontro de uma nova concepção na mudança do atual paradigma de gestão de crise institucional que lida com circunstâncias negativas e desfavoráveis que afetem diretamente a corporação. A meta dessas ações é proporcionar aos tomadores de decisão, responsáveis pelo Gerenciamento de Crise, tipicamente não policial que resulte em conhecimentos teóricos para lidar com os momentos de crise que a corporação poderá a vir enfrentar. A pesquisa através de seu conteúdo empírico aponta que a corporação Polícia Militar do Estado do Amazonas não possui uma cultura de prevenção de crise e ainda não se encontra apta a lidar com o fator crise de forma técnica e científica na prevenção com o intuito de informar e da solução aos difíceis e delicados fenômenos nocivos sociedade democrática e multipluralista em que vivemos na atualidade.

Diploma thesis "Restructuring of OP Prostějov Company" offers a comprehensive insight into crisis management and key ingredients that lead to the successful company turnaround. Slatter`s theoretical approach is combined with the best practice of strategy consultants at Roland Berger. We analyze the situation of the biggest manufacturer of outerwear dresses in Czech Republic - OP Prostějov Company. Both financial and strategic analyses identify the key drivers in clothing industry and assess the causes of the company poor performance. OP Prostějov is recommended to focus on Measure-to-Made luxury collection, while all the unnecessary properties should be divested and sold in order to pay the bank loans and other liabilities of the company. The most important steps are defined in the part of financial restructuring and new strategic reorientation with attention to improve the basic operational metrics -- most importantly to improve EBIT margin and return on capital invested.

Spolupráce orgánů krizového řízení územních samosprávných celků a nestátních neziskových organizací při řešení mimořádných událostí / The cooperation between emergency management authorities in territorial self-governing units and non-governmental non-profit organisations addressing major emergencies

Nowadays, more and more major emergencies of natural or anthropogenic origin are occurring, which often become crisis situations. Crisis management is set up to deal with these events and has the task of providing comprehensive preparation for their management. In recent years, crisis management authorities have been using non-governmental non-profit organizations to work together to contribute to crisis management, particularly in the provision of humanitarian assistance to the affected population. The diploma thesis focuses on crisis management authorities of territorial self-governing units and on non-governmental non-profit organizations, which are part of the South Bohemian Region Panel, which is a free association of participants and is established for the purpose of their coordination in providing forces, resources and activities to the South Bohemian Region in dealing with major emergencies and crisis situations. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the possibilities of cooperation between crisis management authorities and non-governmental non-profit organizations operating in the South Bohemian Region in deploying the forces and resources needed to deal with emergencies and crisis situations and cooperation of the above mentioned entities during the floods in 2013. In order to achieve the determined objective and obtain objective results, quantitative research was applied, using a questionnaire survey. It was applied to crisis management personnel of the municipality with extended powers within the South Bohemian Region. Furthermore, a qualitative research was conducted in the form of a controlled interview with representatives of non-governmental non-profit organizations who are members of the Panel of the South Bohemian Region. The information obtained from the non-profit organizations and the evaluation of the questionnaire survey from the crisis management personnel show that the research questions are answered positively, i.e. the cooperation between the above-mentioned entities worked without major problems in 2013. The crisis management authorities used assistance from non-governmental non-profit organizations to a greater extent in monitoring the situation, material assistance and manual assistance, to a lesser extent financial and psychosocial assistance. Thanks to the experience gained by the above-mentioned entities during the floods in 2013, but especially during previous major emergencies or crisis situations, there is a constant development in the area of cooperation between them. In order to improve mutual cooperation, there are training sessions, meetings and exercises organized by the South Bohemian Region, integrated rescue system units, non-profit organizations as well as crisis management personnel of the municipality with extended powers. The results of the analysis of the thesis can serve as a basis for increasing the efficiency and improving the cooperation in deploying forces and resources by crisis management authorities and non-governmental non-profit organizations, as well as study material.

The theoretic part of my dissertation is devoted to the management by crisis and the integrated salvage system, their organization, single components and system of their management. Farther I occupy here with the chapter of supervision, namely with its function, course, role and position of supervisor and supervider. In the first part of my dissertation I mention a mediation and debriefing too as the possible options of supervision. The research objective in the practical part of my work is characterize the possibilities of a participation of supervisor or supervision into the system of the management by crisis. This part of my dissertation was worked up both by the quantitative and qualitative method. I have chosen data collection for the anonymous interrogatory. The workers of IZS in the South Bohemian Region formed the target group. 82 informants formed the total research set. The data processing was by the qualitative method by means of SWOT analysis. I surveyed two hypotheses. Hypothesis No.1 {--} The IZS workers have poor awareness of the supervision advantages and risk of its absence. In Hypothesis No.2 {--} I presumed that according to the IZS workers the supervision in the workplace is not important.

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá situací na celosvětovém automobilovém průmyslu v době právě probíhající finanční krize. Popisuje dané odvětví pomocí mikro a makro ekonomických modelů. Dále také uvádí globální trendy a specifika daného průmyslu. Autor prezentuje své názory na aktuální finanční situaci a analyzuje její dopady na automobilový průmysl. Tyto závěry se opírají o teorie strategického managementu a o analýzy dané problematiky. Na základě těchto poznatků pak autor navrhuje strategie, které by v kritických případech mohly vézt k záchraně a vyzdvihuje příležitosti, ze kterých by bylo možné profitovat. Práce poskytuje čtenáři teoretický pohled na aktuální ekonomikou situaci v automobilovém průmyslu a nabízí autorovy hypotézy na strategie, které by mohli vézt z krize v tomto odvětví.

The thesis analyzes measures adopted and applied by the EMU crisis management in years 2010 to 2012, that means at a time when debt and currency crisis was affecting the euro area countries the most. The main focus is dedicated to the rescue mechanism EFSF and expansive monetary policy of ECB as these crisis management tools were used for stabilization of the debt situation in Ireland, Portugal and Greece. Analyzing of these tools leads to assess their contribution to selected country and to European monetary union as a whole. The final part is devoted to possible solutions for the debt crisis and to the future of the eurozone and the common currency.

Covid-19 pandemin har haft stor påverkan på vårt samhälle. I Sverige är restaurangbranschenen av de branscherna som har drabbats värst. Vid en kris som denna krävs det att ledare agerar för att se till att deras organisation kan överleva. En ledare kan påverka organisationen inom alla aspekter, allt från ekonomi till personalhantering. Därav bär ledaren ett stort ansvar på sina axlar. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur en kris som Covid-19 påverkar ledarskap inom restaurangbranschen och vilka förändringar som ledare gör för att hantera pandemin. Studien kommer förhoppningsvis att bidra till ökad förståelsen kring hur ledarskap har förändratsunder pandemin Covid-19 och vad det har haft för effekter. Den insamlade datan i denna studie ska förhoppningsvis förklaras med hjälp av tre olika ledarskapsstilar. Studien har genomförts med en kvalitativ metod genom semistrukturerade intervjuer medutvalda ledare inom restaurangbranschen. Resultatet för studien visar skillnader och förändringar som har skett i ledarskapet hos de ledare som har intervjuats. Samtliga intervjuer har tolkats och jämförts med studiens teoretiska ramverk. En kris som pandemin Covid-19 har haft stor effekt på organisationers sammanhållning samt motivation hos medarbetare och har resulterat i ett större mänskligt fokus från ledarnas sida. / The Covid-19 pandemic has had a big impact on our society. In Sweden the restaurant industry is one of the most affected industries. In a crisis like this it is required that leaders act to ensure that the organization survives. The leader is the one who can affect the organization in all aspects, from financial decisions to personnel management. Therefore, the leaders carry a big responsibility on their shoulders. The purpose with this study is to investigate how a crisis like Covid-19 affects leadership within the restaurant industry and what changes leaders have made to be able to deal with the pandemic. This study will hopefully contribute to increased understanding on how leadership has changed during the Covid-19 pandemic and what effects it has had. The collected data in this study will hopefully be explained by three different leadership styles. The study has been implemented with a qualitative method through semi structured interviews with leaders within the restaurant industry. The result of this study shows differences and changes that have taken place in the leadership of the leaders who have been interviewed. All interviews have been interpreted and compared with the study’s theoretical framework. A crisis such as the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major effect on organizational cohesion and employee motivation. This has resulted in a focus directed towards the human factor of the leadership. This study is written in Swedish.
