Efeito do tamanho da partícula e do tempo de armazenamento na qualidade bromatológica e na incidência de microrganismos da silagem da parte aérea da mandioca (Manihot esculenta Crantz, 1766) / Effect of particle size and time of storange in the chemical quality and the incidence of microorganisms od silage of the aerial part of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz, 1766)

Carvalho, Cenira Monteiro de 05 March 2008 (has links)
This study aimed to evaluate the influence of particle size and time of storage on the quality chemical, stability and the incidence of aerobic microorganisms on silage aerial part of cassava. We made experimental mini-silos containing the shoot of cassava (stems and leaves) that received different sizes of particles (0, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.5 cm) and time of storage, 3, 15, 30 and 45 days. In the first stage of work, looked up the chemical composition of this material, then getting the levels of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), mineral material (MM), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), acid detergent fiber, (FDA), ether extract (EE), lignin, pH and buffer power (PT). At the end of the analysis concluded that the treatment that received no grinding, particle size of 0.0 cm, showed the highest levels bromatologics for silage of the aerial part of cassava and the best time was the storage of 30 days. In the second phase was observed aerobic stability of silage of the aerial part of manioc, where for 10 days, twice a day (8:00 and 15:00 h), was collected at room temperature and the temperature of silage with the aid of a digital thermometer. The degradation occurred only when the temperature of the silage reached 2 ° C above the ambient temperature, the latter ranged from 23.5 to 28 ° C. From this observation evidenced out that the largest decline occurred in the sixth day, thus say that the silage can be considered stable. The last phase of this work consisted of isolation, characterization and quantification of microorganisms incidents on silage of the aerial part of cassava. At that stage it was observed that treatment with 15 days of storage obtained a higher occurrence of microorganisms, which are bacteria totals.
