Abordamos preferencialmente a dimensão espetacular de seu conteúdo programático, com ênfase especial nos temas escolhidos para cada programa, a partir das reflexões obtidas através do grupo de análise, dos depoimentos e testemunhos dos telespectadores e de consulta à bibliografia especializada. Procuramos analisar a utilização de técnicas midiáticas utilizadas pela IURD no programa e como estas se relacionam na construção do espetáculo religioso. Questionamos até que ponto a dimensão espetacular se constituiu em um dos fatores responsáveis pelo aumento da visibilidade social alcançada pela IURD na sociedade brasileira. Observamos ainda o caráter mercantil da religião, característica esta que apesar de sempre existente na história das religiões, acirrou-se sobremaneira com o advento dos meios eletrônicos. A IURD é pioneira nesta empreitada, e o programa constitui em não só conservou os elementos do espetáculo como os potencializou, tornando o caráter espetacular de seus conteúdos um dos principais sinais diacríticos no universo religioso brasileiro. Nosso objetivo de pesquisa é analisar os conteúdos deste programa e como eles se constituem num contundente instrumento para arregimentar fiéis. Concluímos que a Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus usa o programa para reforçar e sistematizar o seu discurso e também como porta-voz dos posicionamentos dos seus dirigentes, buscando assim, fortalecer os principais pressupostos e dogmas da própria Igreja.
