Secundariamente, recorremos... / The objective of this research is to understand the role of the modern State within the social metabolism of capital according to analysis by István Mészáros, observing the complementary relationship that places the State as part of the constitutive material basis. From the hypothesis that the complementary relationship established between the State and the system of capital is anchored in the existence of the State as political command structure, that articulates its own legal and political superstructure – as conceived by Marx – with its vital role to ensure the conditions of expansion and accumulation of the system of capital. Directly involved in the production and reproduction of capital, the State must strengthen the domination of capital against opposing forces could challenge him. In this paper, embodies the need to protect the conditions of separation between ownership and producers reinforcing the relationship of alienation to ensure the conditions for the structural-hierarchical subordination of labor to capital. By expressing its role in linking the dependency between capital and labor, the labor is the link of the dialectical relationship between State and capital. This is how the modern State imposes on individuals the expanded reproduction of that social metabolism complementing and offering corrective solutions on the contradictions continually developed and reproduced in the clash of social forces that oppose. Based on this concept, Mészáros develops the thesis of the existence of the tripod State-capital-labor. To accomplish this proposal will be taken as the object Mészáros's discussion about the role of the modern State in the system of capital. We have as main reference Beyond capital: towards a theory of transition. Secondly, we turn to other works by the same author – The theory of alienation in Marx, Philosophy, Ideology and Social Science and the power of ideology – in addition to the production...

Serpa, Paola Baldovinotti [UNESP] 04 November 2014 (has links) (PDF)
Made available in DSpace on 2015-04-09T12:28:07Z (GMT). / The purpose that drives this research is to apprehend, in its concepts, the political category in Marx's thought, explaining that his conception develops a path of continuity, reaffirming on his maturity the bases of the ontological rewiew he had started in his youth. Rewiew, therefore, that not only shifts the historical spot that politics has taken place so far, as well as it focus the emancipation of labor. Its precise apprehensiveness is a prerequisite for the achievement of the revolutionary struggle. In order to provide evidence that may help to elucidate the controversy of the alleged break between the theoretical production of the young Marx and scientist itself, we propose that the study be defined mainly by Marx‟s writings produced in the decade 1843-1852, incorporating both, texts of his youth as well as the materials recognized as achievements of maturity. To resume the ontological dimension of the formulations of Marx gives way to an intense ideological debate within Marxism itself, with direct implications for the delimitation of its social function in the struggle to overcome social estrangements and the consequent emancipation of individuality in the affirmation of genuine human gender. In this sense, we intend to demonstrate that, besides, to sustain the opposition that privileges the later writings in order of those produced earlier – that means, the Marx‟s epistéme – compromises the emancipatory struggle in its main point, enhancing the political form in discountenance of the realization of human freedom in the self-edification of men‟s world by social labor.

The theology of the Cross and Marx's concept of man : with reference to the Caribbean

Persaud, Winston Dwarka January 1980 (has links)
The theology of the cross is both a method of doing evangelical theology, as well as an evangelical confession of the Christian Faith. It is universal in scope, and it is set within the context of the Reformation doctrine of the Two Kingdoms. It, therefore, insists that while the Kingdom of the world and the Kingdom of Christ are to be distinguished from each other, nevertheless, they constitute an intrinsic unity. Marx's concept of man and his theory of history constitute his peculiar atheistic Weltanschauung. This preoccupation with man as an alienated being is paralleled by the concern for man's salvation as expressed in the theology of the cross. However, Marx's anthropology remains one-dimensional in scope, and is thereby placed within the realm of the Kingdom of the world. The Marxian claim that man is the centre of himself and the final and sole arbiter of his own destiny, and that God is a totally human idea which ultimately enslaves man, challenges the Church to proclaim and "incarnate" the liberating message of the Gospel anew today. The Church is called to articulate a theology of the cross in which God is confessed as being pro-man. The Church points to the cross of Christ where it sees God paradoxically revealed in suffering, shame and death, where God seemed (and seems) to be most absent, it is precisely there that He is most present, actively struggling on behalf of man. Cross and Resurrection are bound together. The Christian life is therefore a life of celebration and hope sub cruce. Caribbean theology is at the crossroads: it is historically connected with western theology and finds some "natural" affinities with Liberation Theology. However, while it may and should attempt to draw from the richness of both theologies, it should guard against capitulating to either of those forms. It must articulate an indigenous theology of the cross which maintains the tension between identity and relevance of the Gospel. To do otherwise would lead to a theology (or ideology) of glory. In short, Caribbean theology's primary concern must be the proclamation and "incarnation" of the message that the Triune God, through the praxis of love in His Son, and through the witness of His Spirit, is present in suffering and death, wrath and judgement, working on behalf of man and his reconciliation.
