The monographic thesis mainly solves poetry and prose of Josef Mach, the Czech writer, journalist and clerk. It watches literary progress of his poetics according to the era context, influenc of places, historical and social events and inspirations of other artists who surrounded him. The work look into the texts and lyrics by a diachronic and synchronic way. The section about his original works is followed by a chapter about translations of several novels, because he acted even on this literary field. Then the general outline of the reception of Mach's personality and works since the time of his life until today. The whole thesis is introduced by Mach's biography to which it returns in many topics because his works have an empiric character and it is closely connected to the life. The object of the thesis is to sum information about all these topics and give it as a base for future expert research.

This thesis deals with the exploration and evaluation of historic masonry building. The researched building was built in the 20th 20th century. Is located in the premises of the Philosophical Faculty of Masaryk University in Brno. During preparation for the planned modernization of the survey was conducted several objects of the university complex. In this work, however, we consider only the building named "C". It will be processed by selected diagnostic method. The findings will then serve as a basis for static analysis and follow-up activities associated with modernization.

Obraz druhého - Češi v německých karikaturách / Image of the Other - Czechs in German Carricatures

The thesis focuses on the image of Czechs in German caricatures. The image of Czechs is researched on caricatures through historical timeline consisting of milestones of Czech- German relationship. The first chapter focuses on Czech-German tension from times of Badeni's language ordinances to Ann's patents. Furthermore, the image of Czechs is investigated in period of Great War. The focus is primarily on the rise of independent Czechoslovakia because main hypothesis states that the image of Czechs was intensified after this event. The next researched time period is year 1933 as Nazi party took over. The last researched period is time period 1937-1939. The focus is on death of T. G. Masaryk. The thesis is complemented by Austrian caricatures which aim to extend the image of Czechs by Austrian view. The Austrian image of Czechs is then compared to German one. Analysis is made through image analysis of German and Austrian caricatures. The research is done on 35 historical caricatures and is supported by secondary literature. The caricatures were picked from major satirical-humoristic magazines such as Simplicissimus, Kladderadatsch, Fliegende Blätter, Kikeriki and Figaro.

The thesis analyses the reflection of the Czechoslovak freedom movement within the English and American daily press during the World War I (1914 - 1918). In its theoretical part the thesis provides the chronological framework of the Czechoslovak movement and discusses its main challenges as well as essential milestones and achievements. It also introduces the reader to the most popular theoretical concepts regarding the idea of the Czech national independence existing at the brink of the war. With regard to the historical perspective the thesis also elaborates on the development and timeline of Masaryk's exile endeavour as well as personal relations, the latter contributing greatly in promoting the Czechoslovak cause abroad. In its analytical part the thesis deals with the sample of media articles related to the issue of Czechoslovaks and their pursuits. Using the qualitative approach it reconstructs the media frameworks through which the theme of the Czechoslovaks was presented and interpreted in a variety of British and American dailies during the Great War. Besides the daily press it also builds its findings upon the historical literature, archival documents and correspondence. The diploma thesis deals with the media image of the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic in the Czech Radio in years from 1930 to 2019. The fixture is one of the most important sports events in the country and the public radio has been informing listeners about it since the first year of the Czech GP holding. In its beginnings, the race found its place in the magazine Týdeník Rozhlas, which was also interested in technical background during GP. Based on the preserved articles from the magazine Týdeník Rozhlas, audio recordings from the Czech Radio, and Masaryk Circuit's chronicle, the thesis describes the history of the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic from the public broadcasting perspective. It examines how the radio informs its listeners about the races and how much space it gives to the motorcycle world championship in broadcast. or what topics reporters choose in connection with the races. The quotes from the interviews with a photographer Tomáš Gescheidt, a head of the Czech Radio motorcycle section Luděk Hubáček, and with a track commissioner Jaroslav Pešek are included in the thesis. The methodological part of the research covers the method of qualitative and quantitative content analysis and historical method. The conclusion of this thesis is analytical and presents the results.

The quality of education of teachers has recently started to be in the focus of educational theory, research and of education policy in all developed countries, including the Czech Republic. We face problems such as unqualified teachers, the lack of interest of young people in teaching, the departure of teachers from schools, the quality of education of teacher, with regard to the needs of modern society and the labor market. Furthermore, the lack of a standard for the teaching profession together with the high autonomy of universities leads to a situation in which individual faculties of primary education design education programs completely independently and we have little information, If they are equipping graduates with comparable knowledge and skills, building similar attitudes and establishing teacher education of similar priority. The theoretical part is devoted to the development of teacher education of primary schools in the Czech Republic after 1989, the legislative and conceptual anchoring of university teacher training. This thesis deals with the concept of modernity called "nadcivilizace" ("supercivilization") that was developed in the nineteen-fifties by Czech philosopher Jan Patočka (1907-1977) in his originally unpublished study Nadcivilizace a její vnitřní konflikt. The main goal of the thesis is to introduce this concept in the framework of the author's life and work, as well as in the context of current research in the field of historical sociology. This goal is fulfilled through three main steps, which are preceded by preliminary remarks about the issues of nowadays civilizational analysis. The first part is focused on the introduction of the author's concept of modernity as it was presented in the aforementioned study. Patočka's original term "nadcivilizace" is introduced and put into the context of civilizational analysis. At the same time, the circumstances of the genesis of the text, and the spiritual framework of the epoch in which Czech philosopher lived, are presented. Second part attempts to put the original concept into the author's lecture of philosophy of history, and to demonstrate the changes that occurred in Patočka's understanding of modernity in his work Kacířské eseje o filosofii dějin (Heretical Essays in the Philosophy of History, 1975). The target of this diploma thesis is to capturing a description of social work activities in the treatment of tuberculosis in our country in years 1930-1945, through the magazine called The Fight Against Tuberculosis published by the Masaryk league against tuberculosis This nagazine dealt with this illness and everything which was related with it. Theoretical part defines key terms like social work, tuberculosis, special depatments focused on treatment of tuberculosis. Other part of work specifically describes history of social workers'education, their practise, social work with families and as well as multidisciplinary cooperation. My work contains practical part too. It is about content analysis.
