The aim of this thesis is worksheets creation that can support the mathematics education at the primary school. These documents are focused on the thematic complex of function. Worksheets should find the use of mathematics education at primary school {--} at separate education and especially at subsequent practise. Necessary tool to their application is mathematical program Derive, in which all worksheets are created. Endeavour of this work is achieving higher effectiveness of mathematics education and its approach to the pupils of primary school.

This thesis entitled "Use of didactical games in teaching mathematics at the lower secondary level" deals with the use of educational games in math classes at secondary schools. This work is composed of two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces the concepts of the game, didactic game, math games. More specifically focus on the modification of the board game Monopoly. The practical part is devoted to quantitative research, which determines what is the attitude of mathematics teachers of lower secondary school teaching to the use of games in education, as well as focus on the views and experiences of students with didactic game. Also, the work compares the written test of the curriculum for the class that graduated mathematical hour with the inclusion of educational games monopolies and class that this teaching not undergone.

THESIS Pupils' problem solving strategies at lower and upper secondary level ABSTRACT Thesis Pupils' problem solving strategies at lower and upper secondary level deals with pupils' strategies of solving mathematical problems that we can observe at primary and secondary school. The theoretical part summarizes basic concepts in the field of mathematical problems and pupils' strategies. The main aim of the experimental part of the thesis is finding new knowledge from this field at the second level of Czech education. I focused primarily on tasks involving data, addiction and statistics, including the concept of a mathematical function that is deeply linked to these educational contents. In the experimental part, there are selected tasks, expected or discovered strategies, statistics of chosen strategies and the success of the solutions and strategies found, in some cases even the transcription of pupils' errors. This master’s thesis deals with the upgrade of the iMatematika.cz website into more complex educational website with selected math basics for students with economical specialization or for economists themselves. From the selected math basics the educational materials are made, on which educational videos and sets of test questions are created. The output of this master’s thesis is a new website which reflects this accomplished analysis.

The subject of this thesis is outdoor mathematics education for pupils aged 11- 15 in the con- text of the city of Pilsen. The main aim was to design a series of outdoor mathematics activities for lower secondary education students. A reference is made to the space within the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education for the use of interdisciplinary integration and cross-curricular links, for which outdoor learning can be suitable. The work summarizes the findings on motivation, identifies the specifics of mathematics as a teaching subject and highlights the constructivist principles of teaching in the context of the results of the Czech School Inspectorate's investigation into mathematics.The most important barriers and benefits of outdoor education are summarised here as well as its conception and a few of the readily available sources of inspiration for outdoor mathematics for lower secondary education pupils. The designed activities described in the practical part of the thesis are tailored to specific locations of the city of Pilsen. The thesis called The Ways of Presentation of Mathematics in the 7th Grade of Montessori School provides with a description and detailed analysis of Montessori principles with regards to their use and fulfilling tasks during lessons of mathematics at Montessori Schools. Its further aim is to check out in the course of lessons if the three Montessori principles - discovering of facts by an individual, work with mistake and individual approach - are being applied during the presentations of new topics to the 7th grade students of Montessori school. The MA thesis focuses on the strategies pupils use when solving mathematical problems involving systems of linear equations in other subjects, namely in physics and chemistry. Drawing on the results of the experiment, the aim of the thesis is to propose ways in which these problems can be used in math lessons. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to those branches of physics and chemistry in which systems of linear equations are used. In the following part, the experiment itself is described. Divided into two parts, the first part of the experiment focuses on pupils at lower secondary schools, the other on pupils at upper secondary schools. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to suggesting how problems from physics and chemistry can be used in math lessons when introducing and practising systems of linear equations. This thesis is focused on the utilization of simplified functional equations in logarithm exercise. The goal of this work is to assess the degree of formalism in the logarithm knowledge of high school students. The first part attends to the origin and development on the term logarithm and logarithmic tables. These findings are subsequently put into the context of present day logarithm teaching extracted from contemporary high school textbooks. The second part describes an experiment which was conducted for the purpose of this thesis. Test anxiety is a phenomenon that can be commonly encountered at school. Test anxiety can be seen as a substantial non-intellectual factor affecting the quality of pupils' school work. In the literature we can find a form of fear and anxiety negatively related to school performance, however we can also find a form of anxiety that facilitates school work and results in improved performance. The thesis focuses on test anxiety and fear and examines its form among pupils in mathematics. Using the questionnaire survey in 8th grades of primary schools, we were mapping motivational situation with emphasis on test anxiety in the domain of mathematics and test anxiety before and after perfoming two mathematical tasks. We were interested in a form of test anxiety in mathematics and whether test anxiety in mathematics overlaps with the anxiety in the school task situation. We focused mainly on the evaluative situation itself. We examined the existence of several components of test anxiety (with the regard to basic distinction between emotional and cognitive dimension) with an emphasis on their links with school performance, the direction in which fear ad anxiety affect performance (facilitating, debilitating) and the links among test anxiety and other characteristics. The purpose of this thesis is to sum up information about documents that are source for teaching of financial literacy and to inform about current state of its teaching at high schools. Theoretical part concerns with involving of financial mathematics in framework education programme. This part also shows what subjects are involving financial mathematics. Practical part is dedicated to research, which had been realised at selected high school - Technical high school of food technologies, which follows "Food analysis" and "Environmental ecology" FEP.
