Použití sémantického diferenciálu při hodnocení výuky na ZŠ / Using of Semantic Differential for Euducation Assessment at Basic SchoolŠERÝ, Michal January 2013 (has links)
One of the methods for collecting data in psychology is a method of semantic differential. The using of semantic differential is very large, this method is widely used in personality research, clinical psychology, market psychology and marketing. In recent years, this method has begun to apply to the area of educational research, above all educational psychology. A basic problem with wide using is the huge volume of data obtained by this method. Some of the options of setting up of a questionnaire with light to the selection of bipolar adjectives are listed in the thesis. The options represent the evaluation dimension, the dimension of activity and potency in terms of both representativeness and relevance. A set of tools for automatized generation of various combinations of questionnaire groups was created. A technical support of data collection, their evaluation and visualization using semantic differential method was also created. These methods will be used in realization of the project of introducing teaching of mathematic in English language at primary schools. The primary goal of this level of analysis is to judge to what extent can two terms (or more terms), generally regarded as semantically similar or different.

Metody hodnocení produktů životního pojištění / Evaluation methods of life indurance productsFojtík, Jan January 2015 (has links)
The thesis deals about methods widely used for life insurance products evaluation from the clients perspective. These methods of evaluation are important mainly for comparisons of several insurance products. One of goals of the thesis is to analyze existing methods used for evaluation of insurance products and discuss their suitability for comparing life insurance products. These methods are based mainly on cost analyses because they were originally developed especially for investments projects comparisons. The main goal of the thesis is to create new indices for comparing life insurance products. These new indices are supposed to resolve imperfections of regularly used evaluation methods. They are also designed to cover all functions of life insurance therefore they are supposed to provide with more coherent information for comparisons. The indices are based on knowledge of life insurance products, probability, demography, financial and insurance calculus.

Historie sociologie historií vědy: metodologické možnosti zkoumání jazyka teorie / Integrating History of Sociology into History of Science: Language Analysis as a Tool for History of SociologyPatáková, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
This thesis focuses on methodological possibilities of language as a basis for history of sociology. Current professional history of sociology takes predominantly the form of institutional studies characterized by an attention to social context of knowledge production. Language orientation provides an unutilized opportunity for intellectual history - a supposedly stale alternative of institutional tradition. Development of language-based history creates a methodological position close to approaches common in history of natural sciences. Critical analysis of metaphor studies in sociology serves as an example of risks and challenges of language focus which assists us with articulation of our own methodological position. Following studies of Ladislav Kvasz, historian of natural sciences, the thesis offers methodological apparatus adapted to sociology. Key feature of the presented tool is a capability to distinguish between three levels of language of sociological theory: data, models and theory. These levels differ in functions which they ascribe to corresponding language elements and rising language powers (to constitute new objects and to integrate the ones positioned below). Application of our method is illustrated by two examples. Cursory excursion into history of mathematics in sociology...

Vliv příběhu v digitálních výukových hrách pro mladší děti / Effects of narrative in the context of digital game-based learning for young childrenSýkora, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
Research in the digital game-based learning domain has so far shown mixed results as to the use of narrative in educational games. The aim of this thesis is to help to answer the question of whether and to which extent it is reasonable to employ the narrative feature in educational games for young children. In addition to a literature review, the thesis presents an experimental study comparing two versions of a maths game that are the same except for for the richness of the game's story (a value-added study). The participating children (N = 67) from school year 2 and 3 (mean = 8.67 years, SD = 0.4 years) were given the opportunity to play a game for two weeks on touch devices: a game version with a simple narrative frame, or a game version with a rich story narrated through an interactive voiced comic, or a "placebo" game (control group). No significant effect of the rich narrative on the children's engagement, as reported by parents, was found (d = 0.45, p = .245). Furthermore, the two narrative condition groups did not differ in terms of in-game progress (Cliff's δ = 0.01), and the difference was neither significant for the number of solved game tasks (d = 0.08, p = .857), nor the learning gains (d = -0.25, p = .691) measured using a near-transfer maths skill test (pre-post design). Both narrative...

Rozvoj numerických a strukturálních dovedností u žáků ZŠ při hraní hry Abaku / Development of numeric and structural skills in primary school pupils when playing Abaku playRichter, Lukáš January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the Czech game called Abaku, which was created as a variation of Scrabble using numerals instead of letters. The aim of this thesis is to find out what numerical and structural skills the pupils of elementary school, who are participating in the final of Abaku League, have, and what is their relation to mathematics. The used methods are the analysis of the games played on the qualifying rounds of Abaku League, a questionnaire for the finalists of the league and an interview with several of them. Author has 165,640 records of played games for analysis, 1,157 of that were analyzed. The questionnaire was completed by 38 players and seven of them participated in the interview. The questionnaire consists of questions about the popularity of mathematics, the frequency and duration of playing Abaku, and ten tasks to identify the numerical and structural skills of the players. Above all, the research showed that the surveyed Abaku players are well-versed in the area, know how to work with powers, and show curiosity for other mathematical disciplines. The theoretical part of thesis consists of a research of available literature concerning Abaku, introduction of the game including rules and development stages of the player, comparison of Abaku with games of similar type and...

The whole work is divided into 3 chapters and each of them is concerned with the importance of the play in one specific area. The first part deals with the benefits of the play for the development of pupils' mathematical skills, the second part deals with the benefits of the play for the development of social skills among pupils. The third part is then aimed at the value of observing pupils during the free play for teachers. The research was conducted using observation during which photographs and video records of pupils' play were made. The photographs and the video records were consequently analyzed from the perspective of all 3 categories mentioned earlier. Využití metody CLIL ve vyučování matematice na 2. stupni ZŠ / Use of the CLIL method in teaching mathematics for lower secondary pupilsReslová, Hana January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). The term stands for a teaching method used in the non-language classes that has a content-oriented and lingual goal. CLIL has been incorporated into the learning process as one of the instruments that leads to improving language learning in Europe. The aim of my thesis was to prepare, realize and evaluate a twomonth long process of using CLIL in lessons of Math for lower secondary pupils. In the experiment I surveyed the impact of the connection between Math and English language on pupils' motivation and Math knowledge. The experimental lessons were focused on the topics of ratio, direct and inverse proportion. The main method used in the thesis was action research. Other applied methods were quantitative methods (questionnaires) and qualitative methods (interview and mediated observation). Parts of the thesis include preparations of seven CLIL lessons accompanied by methodical description and worksheets. These materials were used in lessons during the experiment. The experiment showed and proved the procedure of successful CLIL method implementation to the lessons of Math. The implementation did not have a negative impact on pupils' motivation, knowledge and activity on the lesson's.
