Changes is always a relevant factor in organisations. The 25th of May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) becomes enforceable as EU law, which will be a cause for change for a lot of organisation’s way of handling data, possibly endangering the information’s security. This essay aims to study three organizations and how they have prepared for GDPR. They will be analyzed from a change-management- and information security perspective, to conclude how the organisations conceive the magnitude of the change, and to see how they have implemented solutions for keeping the data safe after the 25th of May. The study’s result show that three participating organizations in the study all have implemented solutions that fulfill the, for the study, selected intersections of the McCumber Cube-model for Information Security, albeit in different ways. The three organization's attitude towards the changemanagement in preparation of GDPR doesn’t reflect the view of the researchers, who after analyzing GDPR sees it as a bigger project. The conclusion is that even though all participants have made their own interpretation of GDPR, an answer to the question of which kind of interpretation is closest to the actual truth, won’t be answered until a precedent is set. / Förändring är alltid en relevant aspekt för organisationer. Den 25 maj 2018 träder den nya dataskyddsförordningen, GDPR, i kraft och kommer innebära att alla organisationer behöver genomgå viss förändring för att motsvara de krav GDPR ställer. Förändringens magnitud och påverkan på organisationerna kan mätas med hjälp av en modell som skapats av Anderson & Anderson. Lagen genomförs för att EU ska få en gemensam lagstiftning och för att stärka den personliga integriteten. För att nå dessa mål kommer det ställas krav på organisationernas informationssäkerhet. Ett mätinstrument för att se hur väl företag sköter sin informationssäkerhet är McCumber-kuben. Genom intervjuer med representanter från tre organisationer framkommer information om hur dessa har hanterat förändringsarbetet inför GDPR och hur de hanterar informationssäkerheten utifrån McCumberkuben. Med analys om hur GDPR tolkas så anses lagen kräva en stor förändring hos organisationerna. Någonting som inte framkommer vid intervjuerna. Organisationerna anser sig uppfylla kraven angående informationssäkerhet och det kan mycket väl vara så att de gör detta. Dock är utfallet av GDPR fortfarande ovisst. Då alla organisationer gjort tolkningar av den lag som kommit och dessa tolkningar behöver inte vara likadana. Prejudicerande domar kommer krävas innan det går att säkerställa huruvida organisationerna uppfyller kraven som GDPR ställer.

Previous issue date: 2013-08-16 / CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar as interações entre esses sistemas e seu possível potencial em aplicações tecnológicas. Os sistemas vítreos estudados são fosfatos dopados com íons de itérbio. As matrízes vítreas foram produzidas pelo Prof. Dr. Noélio O. Dantas no Laboratório de Novos Materiais Isolantes e Semicondutores (LNMIS), localizado na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia. Foram produzidos dois conjuntos de amostras com a composição da matriz hospedeiras (matriz vítrea) de 60P205 + 15ZnO + 5Al203 + 10Ba0 + 10Pb0 -F[xYb203](mol%). Em um conjunto a dopagem de itérbio varia de 0% até 10% com acréscimo de 1% para cada amostra. No outro conjunto a dopagem de itérbio de 0% até 5% de itérbio com adição de 1% de Te. A mistura foi fundida a 1300°C por 30 minutos e então resfriadas até 350°C. Dois grupos de nanocristais foram obtidos no processo de difusão dos íons de Zn2+ e Te' durante o resfriamento. A caracterização dos dois conjuntos foi feita utilizando-se as técnicas de luminescência, absorção óptica e luminescência resolvida no tempo com foco na transição em 980 nm do itérbio. Nas análises de dados foi utilizada a Teoria de Fuchtbauer-Ladenburg para encontrar a taxa de transição radiativa, necessária a fim de se obter a eficiência quântica da transição. Os resultados obtidos mostram a transferência de energia entre os nanocristais de ZnTe e os íons de itérbio, tendo um aumento significativo (da ordem de 500%) na intensidade de luminescência deste. / The main objective of this work is to investigate the interactions between those systems and their potential to technological applications. The glassy hosts studied here were produced by Prof. Noelio 0. Dantas in the National Labora-tory of New Insulating Materials and Semiconductors (LaboratOrio Nacional de No-vos Materiais Isolantes e Semicondutores) (LNMIS), at Universidade Federal de Uberlandia. Two sets of samples were made with the glass nominal composition of 60P205 + 15ZnO + 5Al203 + 10Ba0 + 10Pb0 + [xYb2)3(mol%)). In one set, the ytterbium doping varies from 0% to 10% adding 1% to each sample. The other set the ytterbium doping varies from 0% to 5% in addition to 1% Te. The powders were first mixed and then fused at 1300°C for 30 min and finally cooled to 350°C. Two groups of different average sizes of ZnTe NCs were obtained during the cooling of the melt from 1300°C to 350°C through the process of diffusion of ions of Zn2+ and Tee-. The spectroscopic evaluation of both sets were made using the photolu-minescence, time solved photoluminescence and absorption techniques focusing in the 980nm ytterbium transition. Theory of Fuchtbauer-Ladenburg were applied fo the data analysis in order to evaluate the transition radiative rate and quantum efficiency. The collected data show energy transfer between the Yb ions and the ZnTe nanocrystals, achieving a 500% enhancement of the luminescence intensity.

Reciprocity between Emission and Absorption for Rare Earth Ions in GlassMartin, Rodica M. 28 April 2006 (has links)
The power of the McCumber theory [D. E. McCumber, Phys. Rev. 136, A954-957 (1964)] consists in its ability to accurately predict emission cross section spectra from measured absorption, and vice versa, including both absolute values and spectral shapes. While several other theories only allow the determination of integrated cross sections, the McCumber theory is unique in generating the spectral shape of a cross section without any direct measurements regarding that cross section. The present work is a detailed study of the range of validity of the McCumber theory, focussing particularly on those aspects that most critically affect its applicability to transitions of rare earth ions in glasses. To analyze the effect of the spectral broadening on the accuracy of the technique, experiments were performed at room and low temperature. The theory was tested by comparing the cross sections calculated using the McCumber relation with those obtained from measurements. At room temperature, a number of ground state transitions of three different rare earth ions (Nd, Er and Tm) in oxide and fluoride glass hosts have been studied. Special attention was paid to the consistency of the measurements, using the same experimental setup, same settings and same detection system for both absorption and fluorescence measurements. Other aspects of the experimental procedure that could generate systematic errors, like fluorescence reabsorption and baseline subtraction uncertainties in the absorption measurements, were carefully investigated. When all these aspects are properly accounted for, we find in all cases an excellent agreement between the calculated and the measured cross section spectra. This suggests that the McCumber theory is not limited to crystalinne hosts, but describes quite well the reciprocity between emission and absorption for the broader transitions of rare earths in glassy hosts. This good agreement does not hold, however, for the low temperature results. The distortion observed in this case follows the theoretically predicted behavior, and corresponds to the amplification of the gaussian wings that describes the inhomogeneous type of broadening. Our results suggest that the McCumber theory must be used with caution for temperatures below 200 K.

Molntjänster för svenska sjukvårdsorganisationer : En guide för behandling av patientdataDjurberg, Siri, Miocic, Antonia January 2018 (has links)
Molntjänster har redan tagit över flera branscher och sjukvården står näst på tur. Molntjänsters effektiviseringar lockar sjukvården som är en hård pressad bransch både inom kompetens och tid. Samtidigt ansvarar sjukvården över patientdata vilket leder till att de har strikta lagar och regelverk att följa som innebär stora utmaningar. Det kan vara svårt att få en holistisk bild av vad molntjänster kan erbjuda sjukvårdsorganisationen och därför har vårdens syn på molntjänster undersökts och vilka faktorer som präglat deras hantering av patientdata i molnet. En kvalitativ studie har genomförts och där respondenter som är IT-ansvariga både på sjukvårdsorganisationer och molnleverantörer har intervjuats. Sammanfattningsvis dras slutsatsen att i IT-ansvariga på sjukvårdsorganisationer ser molntjänster som en möjlighet och en väg som de måste tas. För att kunna möta patienters behov är de överens om att sjukvården kommer behöva möta deras patienter på en digital plattform och att det krävs tydliga gemensamma riktlinjer för hur man som sjukhusorganisation bör agera vid beslutstagande av molntjänster från en molnleverantör. Det är av intresse att en myndighet upprättas för att ta fram dessa lagar och riktlinjer i syfte att vara rådgivare och inte granskande. Slutligen presenteras sex stycken punkter, som enligt respondenterna, präglar hantering av patientdata i molntjänster som är riktade till de beslutsfattande och IT-ansvariga som är involverade i de beslut som ska fattas kring användandet av molntjänster inom sjukvårdsorganisationer.
