Percepções da qualidade de vida em atletas paralímpicos com lesão medular

No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 2017-11-24 / The pertinence of this research is justified by the search to identify the perception of quality of life and the creation of evaluation instruments that value the perspective of people with spinal cord injury, according to their development phase, considering the different social, physical contexts and psychological aspects of the study participants. The objective of this investigation is to elucidate the perceptions about the quality of life and its influence on Paralympic athletes, who have a complete and incomplete diagnosis. This is a qualitative approach. The research was carried out by means of an interview script with 8 questions. Each respondent answered one question at a time and all were recorded and transcribed in their entirety. Subsequently, the participants' answers were analyzed. Participants of the study were participants who were enrolled in the training teams of the Ceará State Sports Association in Fortaleza-CE. In the results the subjects emphasized, among the benefits of the sports practice, the improvement of social aspects, emotional control and motor control, besides understanding the training as promoter of health benefits. / A pertinência desta pesquisa justifica-se pela busca de identificar a percepção da qualidade de vida e a criação de instrumentos de avaliação, que valorizem a perspectiva de pessoas com lesão medular, de acordo com sua fase de desenvolvimento, considerando os diferentes contextos sociais, físicos e psicológicos dos participantes do estudo. Objetivo dessa investigação consiste em elucidar as percepções sobre a qualidade de vida e sua influência em atletas paraolímpicos, que possuam diagnóstico completo e incompleto. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de um roteiro de entrevista com 8 perguntas. Cada entrevistado respondeu uma pergunta por vez e todas foram gravadas e transcritas na íntegra. Posteriormente, procedeu-se a análise das respostas dos participantes. Participaram da pesquisa paratletas que estavam matriculados nas equipes de treinamento das modalidades de basquete em cadeira de rodas, atletismo, natação, levantamento de peso da Associação Cearense do Esporte em Fortaleza-CE. Nos resultados os sujeitos destacaram, dentre os benefícios da prática esportiva, a melhoria de aspectos sociais, controle emocional e controle motor, além de compreenderem o treinamento como promotor de benefícios para a saúde.
