Tendo isto em vista, o objetivo do presente estudo é descrever e analisar a concepção wolffiana de psicologia presente na Metafísica Alemã. Após uma breve contextualização histórica, é oferecida uma descrição dos conteúdos empíricos e racionais da disciplina, incluindo sua relação com as demais matérias da metafísica. Em seguida, propõe-se uma análise baseada em questões levantadas pela literatura secundária. Em geral, defende-se a existência de uma importância especial da Metafísica Alemã dentro do pensamento psicológico de Wolff, independentemente de seus demais escritos psicológicos, assim como sua relevância para o desenvolvimento, já no século XVIII, de uma noção de psicologia científica, contrariando teses tradicionais em historiografia da psicologia. / The contribution of Christian Wolff‟s (1679-1754) German Metaphysics (1720) to the history of psychology remains a matter barely considered in the general historiography of psychology or in the specialized literature. Therefore, this study aims to describe and analyze the notion of psychology presented in Wolff‟s German Metaphysics. After a brief historical introduction, the empirical and rational contents of psychology and its relationships with the other metaphysical disciplines are described. Then an analysis of subjects suggested by the secondary literature is proposed. In general, the special significance that the German Metaphysics has in Wolff‟s psychological thought despite his other psychological works, and its relevance for the development of a notion of scientific psychology in the eighteenth century is defended, contradicting traditional theses on the historiography of psychology.
